Mary J Blige Owes $6M At Least

Mary J Blige does not do a good job managing her money. According to TMZ, Mary owes the IRS $3.4M. She owes New Jersey almost $1M. She owes $2.2M in a bank loan and even her charity says she owes them $250K for a loan she took and never paid back. That is a whole lot of money owed to a whole lot of people. What i don't understand is why she does not go out on the road until it is all paid off. She is in a unique situation where she can earn hundreds of thousands a night probably for at least a year. She could have the whole thing paid off in a couple of months, but she does nothing. I bet she is out there right now buying something.

There are probably a lot of people blowing smoke up her ass and telling her she doesn't REALLY owe that money, for one reason or another.

She will go out on the road again whenever it benefits her handlers.

Not sure if her husband's at fault, but it reminds me what Doris Day went through in the 1960s. Her husband/manager spent her deep into debt without her knowledge and then died, leaving her broke and signed up for a TV series she knew nothing about but was forced to do.; 11:16 AM

She uses their services, doesnt pay them and then just uses a different unsuspecting person for her next event. Her tackiness is coming back to bite her in the ass! Another blog I read that caters to the African American community recently had a story about how Mariah and Alicia Keys make upwards of 750,000 a month just off of their songwriting royalites. Thats why they dont need to.tour constantly, unlike the greats Patti Labelle and Aretha and several others who never stop performing and touring. Musicians who dont write their own songs are doomed to tour and tour and tour till their legs fall off. All singers should write at least some of their lyrics anyway--if Mariah can do it so can you!!!; 11:56 AM

She owes a stylist I know at least $150,000 from one of her tours back in the early 2000's, and her attitude was basically that the stylist should have been happy for the PR that came her way from dressing Mary on that tour. I would love to see her selling her a$$ on H'wood Blvd in 20 MONTHS to pay the bills. Whoever thought she had enough experience, talent, or style to judge A/I must be smoking crack.

As for Mary J, that sucks for her, but it's not the first time an artist has owed millions to the IRS. And there could only Berne of two reasons why she's on the road making the money to pay it back - a serious drug problem or psychological issues. I hope she works it out, because she used to be very talented & I'd hate to see her go the way of Whitney.; 12:02 PM

It has been rumored for may years hat her husband is robbing her blind. She pays his child support for children that are NOT hers. This in my opinion is hte sign of a stone cold FOOL.

Why in the fcuk are you paying a grown man's bills? Like Toni Braxton... Mary has filed for bankruptcy more than onc einher career. And, like Toni Braxton, Mary has allowed her un-employed husband become her manager and destroy her financially.
