This almost A list mostly television actor is back on television on a show. How long remains to be seen, but the other day he was telling a story about why he is such good friends with this former almost A list celebrity. It turns out one night he was going to commit suicide and she called him and stayed with him on the phone for 12 hours straight. He said that no one else has ever been so willing to help him and he credits her with saving his life.

ReplyDeleteMoney has destroyed my relationship with my sons. They went wih their dad b/c he has money. I don't, so they ditched. Very had to get over it. And not one if my sons would ever spend more than 12 minutes let alone 12 hours in phone with me if I was suicidal(and I have been at times).

DeleteIt's great she did that. She's got issues of her own, attempting suicide a few years ago herself.
ReplyDeleteMatthew Perry is an advocate for drug courts, which promote rehab instead of jail time for offenders. I believe Perry still fights his demons and addictions every day. Would love to see him do some work together with John Taylor (Duran Duran bass player) who is very willing to speak out about his own addiction and recovery in appropriate forums. Perry will be hosting for Piers Morgan on Monday, so it's one time I'll actually watch that show.

Hopefully he can help her through the issues she has now. I remember seeing her at junior tournaments ( she was a year older than me and played up divisions). While I had the time of my life playing tennis, because my parents never pushed me or forced me to play, she was all business all the time. She didnt have a childhood. I played well enough to earn a tennis scholarship to college, but I would never have traded that for what she lived.

ReplyDeleteThanks you guys. Such a nice bunch of people here. Hopefully time will improve it. I feel badly for Capriati, she was a mega talent and I think her dad/couch may have been really harsh as a parent. Hope she can sort through her issues. Always liked Perry and Capriati.

He's up there with Jim Pierce ( Mary Pierre's dad), Damir Dokic ( worst one - Jelena Dokic dad) Bernard Tomics dad, Andrea Temisvari's dad, and current incarnations are Piotr Wozniacki and Yuri Sharapov ( although Maria cut him as a coach).

ReplyDeleteNo. He didn't even go to college. He was going to go to USC but landed the Chaz part on "Second Chance."
As always, I love him. He is tied with Drew Carey as my ultimate celebrity boyfriend, period.
