Wouldn't it make sense to open all the doors (and maybe creating a path with furniture to the front door) and call animal control from a cell phone outside of your house. Locking him in seems like it would cause more damage.
A deer jumped through a window of the bank in our town. It was just running around inside when the cops and president arrived because of the alarm. We always joked that she wanted in because she heard there was a million bucks inside. :-))
