Leah Remini Files Missing Persons Report On Shelly Miscavige

Well, you don't see this everyday. Leah Remini has taken a huge shot at Scientology by filing a missing persons report on Shelly Miscavige (above with Leah in 2005), the wife of the leader of Scientology. She has not been seen since approximately 2005. I can't believe Leah did that. I take back the stuff I said about her not doing anything. Wow. You know that the people at Scientology must be going crazy right now. Oh, how I would love a police investigation. If anything, if Shelly is still alive, she would probably be allowed to do what she wants now. They will have to show her in public and this is such a big step. Maybe this is the end for Scientology. I guess we know why Tom cruise wanted all those Suri stories in the tabloids today. You can read more about it all and how Scientology will try and avoid having to respond to the LAPD here.

    2. Well, from what other ex-Scientologists say, she probably thinks this punishment is all her fault. So I don't expect any miracles :(

Good for her. I'm confused as to why no one has done this sooner? No one has seen the woman since 2005!!!! There are plenty of non-Scientology members who could have filed this sooner. The poor woman is probably dead buried under a tommy boy alter. What a creepy cult.

  10. I highly recommend the link Enty included, there's another missing woman!

Leah is a brave brave woman. I fear for her and her family, however by making all of this so public I'm hoping CoS can't retaliate.

  14. I've loved Leah Remini forever--remember when she was on Who's The Boss as Sam's friend from back home? And then she got a spin-off show as a model? I can't have been only one that watched, lol
This only adds to my <3 of all things Remini

  15. Having read the Ortega story, I find it fascinating that both women disappeared forever at almost the exact time their rich, powerful husbands became interested in younger women.

I'm sure a lot of non-Scientologist men would be interested in that option if it were available.

  19. How has somebody been missing for 7 years and no one has even batted an eye about it? Is it public knowledge why she is missing or do we just know that she hasn't been seen since 2005?

  20. Wow, you go girl!!

and I *think* the spin-off was called "Living Dolls". Wasn't on that long, if I remember right. I was kinda young, but Who's The Boss was my show back then, lol

  28. I just finished going through old episodes of Cheers and it was so weird to see Leah and Kirstie interacting on that show, knowing what we know now.

P.S. Leah played one of Carla's daughters.

P.P.S. both Roz AND Fraiser's dad from Fraiser played other characters on Cheers during the final season. Really weird to see them interacting with Fraiser as someone else.

  29. I'm surprised no one has done this before. Glad Leah did it now. Interesting to see how the "church" will handle this one. If she's alive, they have to bring her out.

  33. Just use a Magic Marker and write "Where's Shelly?" on a plain white T-shirt...no need for anyone to make money off of someone else's misery.

  36. Sugar, Scientology enslaves children under the guise of religion. They work 24/7 under the worst conditions while the Hemet police knows all about it and can do nothing against the "Church" attorneys and money. Making people disappear is nothing -- they kill, injure and harass people every day. No one can stop them.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Holy shit this is amazing

    ReplyDelete
  38. Aren't Hemet police pretty much overwhelmed with white supremists and other gangs too? One of my exes had family there, but back then the town was full of cowboys and old folks.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I never cared for her either. Not only that, I will remember her in my prayers, because she doesn't just think about this missing woman, she DOES SOMETHING ABOUT IT! I know Travolta wants to leave too, and this may be his out as well.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hear that? It's the sound of a cult crumbling..Crossing my fingers that it is so!

Wht hasn't anyone does this before though? Can people just disappear and unless someone files a missing person's report the cops don;t actively look for them? That's scary/sad.

And good for Leah. She rocks!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I read toni's blog on where he believes shelly miscavige is. His theory is that she has been sent to a scientology vault to catalog endless paperwork and that she doesn't realize that she's been banished or considered missing. I can't wait to see how leah's report plays out. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for that cult.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Good on Leah! However, I'm worried about her safety now. Hopefully w/ all the press surrounding that ignorant ass cult they won't have a chance to do more than hurt her small career......still tho; Leah, u in danger girl!!!

    Hope they find poor Shelley!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I like her since she was in some sitcom with a fat guy, King of Something, I think.
Now I love her more. She is quickly approaching to my top ten of famous females.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think she just made up for everything nice she ever said about Scientology. She really does have huge brass balls!

    ReplyDelete
  45. My theory (FWIW) is that the reason Katie Holmes got to keep Suri is because she knows that Tom knows where Shelly is. Katie may not personally know, but she knows enough.

Scientology won't do anything to Leah or her family because it would be too obvious.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Go Leah!
I just read "Going Clear" and it's amazing the things that go on in this cult. I SO hope the rumors of her getting offered millions for a book deal are true.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I never liked her much but she has my respect now.

A real tough chick wouldn't have been involved in that CoS shit in the first place. I know I know, she was born in it but damn, that stuff is nutty and it don't take no Brooklyn Italian to figure it out. I hope she remains safe.

The stuff with cruise is interesting. A lot more there than a brainwashed dumbass movie star

I think I'll just stay broke and anonymous. Maybe play the lotto once in awhile. Celebs can keep the crazy life.

  52. Katie kept Suri because she's the long biological parent and Tom is not.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @Meanie Reese - I wasn't implying that someone should make money from her - or anyone's - misery. I just meant that I would proudly wear a shirt that says "Where's Shelly?" :)
