I don't do shit on FB other than post pics of my kid every once in a while and check out pics posted by relatives I never see.
I'd rather be Amish than a Jew. Electricity would be easier to give up than Bacon Cheeseburgers. They both dress similar, so I guess that wouldn't be a problem. It is starting to look like I'm wearing a flesh colored yarmulke though :(
In conclusion, sorry dude, I didn't rip you off. This is pretty much how I've been posting on the net since I started posting on message boards in 07 or 08.
P.S. I don't think I'm a big deal, I'm just trying to be an a-hole. It is everybody else around here that thinks I'm a big deal. Whether it is a good or bad deal is up to interpretation.

Count, every single Jewish person I know (and granted I don't live in NYC anymore so that's shrunk)eats bacon. Same with Indians. 2nd generation born in the US do not adhere to the cow is sacred as strictly as their parents. Just saying. NOT EVERY ONE I know, but in my small sphere this is only what I have observed and talked about with them.

@Sherry: I don't know. Calling a bacon eater Jewish seems as off as calling me Catholic, when I haven't been to a church, besides weddings and funerals, in over 20years; use rubbers; and and believe in abortion rights.
I feel religion is all or nothing. If you believe, you follow their rules. You don't get to cherry pick what you like and what you don't. That is why I choose not to participate.

Count, let me come at this from another angle (...that's what she said...): being Jewish is an ethnic identity as well as a religious one. If you're Italian or Irish but have ditched the Church, you're still Italian or Irish - same thing with being Jewish but ditching the practice of Judaism.
Though Clive is married to a woman and estranged from her forever. He has been in a relationship with a man for many, many, years. He admits to being bisexual in his biography. But for a man his age I think it is just a cop out for just admitting he is full on gay.

FWIW, there are several movements within Judaism with varying beliefs and practices, from Ultra-Orthadox to Atheist Jews (seriously). Some keep kosher, some do not. Also Hebrew is a language and being Jewish is a religious/cultural identity, not an ethnicity.
I practice Reform Judaism. I wasn't offended by any of this, btw. But it takes alot to offend me.

You stand corrected, Count. That's exactly what most people do (of most faiths).
Most Jewish people I know eat bacon - only the orthodox or vegetarians do not. Just like the majority of Catholics practice some form of birth control, never mind plenty get divorced.
Also, Hebrew is a language, Jewish is a religion, regardless of whether you're American, Canadian or European.
@Surfer: That is why I find religion to be a sham. When I see a Born Again Christian grab the bottle of whiskey from the tool box on his pick up and take a pull, first thought in my head is "fraud". Same goes for a Jewish person that eats bacon or a Catholic that gets an abortion. I don't understand why people bother to pretend to follow. To me, it seems like a big waste of time to do it half assed.
