This is quite the reunion. Several years ago, this B+ list celebrity/singer had a long term secret relationship with this former A list reality star. He did this while dating various other women. She is in a long term relationship now, but has not stopped them from reuniting after they bumped into each other in the airport and sat next to each other on a LAX-JFK flight. Since then, she has met with him twice. Once at a hotel and once at his NYC apartment. He is currently single. Wonder if this is the reason why.

Being from the United kingdom rather than the United states my first response to this, as it is to many other reveals is. "Who?"
I'm not American, either, so I'll try to answer to that question.
Mayer is a crappy singer whose cock has visited lots of famous broad. He is full of STD, but experienced, therefore according to some commenters, is the great prize otherwise chicks who dislike him and his way of spreading disease lack of confidence in their abilities.
She is some famous blonde actress in shitty series who got knocked up by some sports dude and I only know her because she was in a music video with Teddy Geiger.
I understand you not knowing who Kristen Cavallari is but John Mayer is moderatley famous.
Its not like Jay Cutler is a great guy either. Bitch chooses very badly.
Why does everyone assume that everyone that gets a lotta love is an STD factory? Am I the only one that has seen "Kids"? Pseudo documentaries are always right! Plus, he could be a safe-sex Sammy.
Yeah things have always been rocky with Cutler, I wouldn't be surprised if they just have an open marriage.

@Craig Kristen was on a horrible show years ago. She hasn't done anything besides Dancing With The Stars and married an American Football player. They deserve each other.
Isn't there a successful musician out there for these chicks to bang? I never minded reading about old decrepits like Rod Stewart and Mick Jagger banging hot chicks, because atleast they have talent. I have never in my life heard a John Mayer song or heard anyone ever say, "I'm going to see John Mayer next weekend."

It might appear that I was being facetious but let me assure you I was being honest.
I have no idea who either of them are. Googling tells me he might be some obscure singer who is banging Katy Perry ( I only know who she is as she was dumb enough to marry some ex-junkie who takes up more UK TV time than his talent deserves ) and likes to do crosswords in bed to show how clever he is.
You'd be surprised at how little your music industry travels outside of the US.
Perhaps I'm just not very well informed.
Thankfully you don't work with me because I had three co-workers all say they were going to see "John Mayer this weekend". One of them even drove to Dallas from Houston to see him twice...WTF?!
No @Craig I'm not really surprised at the lack of knowledge u have of our Pop music because UK 's pop music is pretty irrelevant here. Both suck btw.
@Craig - John Mayer is definitely regional. We never hear his music in Canada either.
He's far more famous for his gossip then his songs, because he's been known to date stupid women and then reveal all the details about them in interviews.
To give you a better example - Think James Blunt. Or Bruno Mars. Very pandering music, aspires to be 'folky' and more 'talented' then pure pop, but pretty much calorie free and fairly shitty.
Women like him though, because all his songs are designed for them.

In this part of Canada we hear John Mayer, although maybe only because I have women's ears. I like the song Heartbreak Warfare, if only because whenever I hear it I always imagine Jennifer Aniston spewing venom whilst popping pills and drinking red wine.
You're just not very well informed. I watch a lot of UK, NZ, and AU reality programming, and they all are aware of our popular acts, and even our groddy reality shit stains.
John Mayer is played by pop, AAA, Hot AC, etc. He is pretty famous. That said, I am not a fan.
