Halle Berry Has Son- Headed To CBS For Weekly Show

Remember how Halle Berry used to be a huge movie star and wanted to move to France and just do movies every so often? Well now she realizes she is with a cheating violent guy that probably won't last, just had her second kid and needs to work so signed on for a new CBS show from Steven Spielberg. Yes it's from Steven but just because you are a big name in movies doesn't mean jack when it comes to television. You might get a guaranteed first year but if your ratings sucks then that first year is going to be at 10pm on a Friday or Saturday night where you can't do any damage to the network lineup.

The show will feature Halle as an astronaut who has been in space for a year and then comes back to earth and has trouble reconnecting with her son. In real life Halle just had a son over the weekend and named him Gabriel. So not true but wouldn't it have been fun if she did.

'So not true but wouldn't it have been fun if she did.' per Ent.

Halle just does not have enough draw to open a movie on her own. She has entered into her industry's age of irrelevancy (over 40). Lastly, I have no desire to see this drama bitch in anything. Off to find coffee....

She's cuckoo.

Halle has the worst taste in men. She cannot pick a winner with the exception of her baby daddy, Gabriel. All the men have either beat her or cheated on her. So it's has to be her and not the men. Perhaps she suffers from what Rita Hayworth was so famously quoted as saying "Men go to bed with Gilda (her famous character) and woke up to me"

Same name as her ex-boyfriend and father of her first child? The one she always sues and badmouths in the media. The guy that her current boyfriend beat to a pulp? Seriously. This girl is seriously messed up. I defnitely wont watch anything she is in. Movie or TV.

No it was a joke on Enty's part.

I always thought she liked the ladies. Wasn't that an old TC blind?

I read the Michelle Rodriguez interview at the gym today and she is all about woman power. Anywho, she said she only has a couple of true friends in Hollywood and guess who was #1? Olivier. The more you know.

I think this is a great move for Halle. Happy when film or TV does anything about the space program; it increases awareness and the likelihood that the space program will get funded.

Did that last sentence not mean anything to anybody? IT WAS A JOKE!

@Cee Kay LOL I was thinking the same thing! Maybe they stopped reading before they got to the last line.

BTW, the show is apparently about Halle coming back to Earth after a year in space, and reconnecting to her husband, the android son her husband built, and she's pregnant with what may be an alien, so... Much weirder than Enty's description...

And how mentally healthy is that role for a new mom?

Defying Gravity was a short lived TV series a few years back. It failed dismally in spite of Halle not being in it so I don't predict a successful outcome for this new show.

Halle sees the writing on the wall, Olivier will cost her a fortune in legal fees...he'll want the kid and will go after her. Not to mention he probably knows plenty.

For sure I will not watch her show. I feel she will be lucky if it last a year.

Batshit crazy. Show me a hot looking chick and I'll show you a guy sick of humping her.

TV is just easier for actors with kids. They have a reliable schedule that lasts 4-5 months a year and they can make crazy money. That being said, this isn't the right vehicle for Halle. She needs to find a light comedy and remind people why they used to like her. her doing high drama usually falls flat.

Yeah love me some enty but that description made me start snoring and wasnt going to watch. Your description sounds more interesting though. I may have to check it out.

Agree with hollywood dime. The actors like the steady hours and pay once they have kids. Lots of them di this, not just Halle. Agree too, sounds a bit dark, but hell, at least they trying to make something interesting, instead of usual sitcom, or medical or law drama.

Halle's issue is that she isn't likeable. TV isn't going to cure that. Every time I see Spielberg's name I think of the South Park episode where they blasted him and Lucas for Indiana Jones. "They raped Indy!" Why is he so obsessed with robots and aliens? Is he a not so secret Scientologist?

CBS owns Showtime I bet that's where they will put this show

TV isnt too shabby
Mayb this is what she should do
look at claire danes, kerry washington..they cant carry movies on their own, but they sure as hell make their shows

lets hope halle scary lands a paying gig

I agree with H'wood Dime...this is a good move for her, but a comedy or Scandal-type vehicle I think would be a better choice.

Just because Spielberg is involved doesn't mean squat, he couldn't save Smash.

Named him Gabriel hahaha good one!

@Nutty that is an excellent thought and you are awesome!

Every single Spielberg produced show has flopped, even though he always gets at least a full season commitment & in the case of Amazing Stories & Smash he got each show a two season guarantee.
So on top of a baby with a violent man who will soon dump her, she's going to be in a flop TV series.
Should be great for the paps as she'll be angry all the time & go off the rails at them.

LOL

The truth is Halle finds it very, very difficult to work with others and this show will get cancelled. Also, SHE is also a volatile violent person (ask anyone who has known her for any length of time). It's not just her present mate.

Maybe it'll be like a modern version of, "Lost in Space"! Or that other one, and Halle can run around yelling, "Danger! Danger Will Robinson!"

Is she married to Martinez? I read somewhere they were married, but thought they were just engaged. Counting down until it's curtains for that romance, and Berry is screaming in court that Martinez is a racist. She seems to have a thing for the Frenchys though.
