Noah Cyrus Drives Illegally

When did your parents first let you drive a car? Not just hold the steering wheel while they lit a cigarette or cracked open a beer, but actually in the driver's seat doing the actual driving. The next question to ask is whether it was on a farm or whether it was on the streets of a major metropolitan city. Well, Billy Ray Cyrus must owe his daughter a big favor because he let Noah, who last I checked is about 13 drive around the streets of their neighborhood this weekend.

Noah, who famously once modeled lingerie and hit a stripper pole to be ready to follow in her older sister's footsteps was driving a Fiat around with Billy Ray in the passenger seat. Apparently the Fiat was given to Noah and she was tired of driving on their driveway and wanted real experience. She got it, but didn't get a ticket because only the paps saw it and now the police.

While I was allowed to move the car from one parking spot to another at the house, I was not allowed to drive until I had my learner's permit. I wonder if BRC was under the influence of something and decided it was best that she deive so he didn't risk a DUI.

I was 11 and my dad let me drive the Trans Am around the mall parking lot at 8p on a Sunday. For about 2 minutes.

The Cyrus family is populated with arrogant morons. Not newsworthy.

I was 11-12. It was from the top of the road to the driveway, about 1/8 mile.

My dad started teaching me how to drive when I was 11. Albeit, it was usually at a football stadium parking lot.

People that know where they live know that this is a total non-story. Their street is off the beaten path; this is basically her driving down a glorified very long driveway

Just hope BRC is doing a better job of raising this one than he did with Miley and the horsey looking guy with the tatoos. Doubt it though, he is a clueless fuck.

Slightly off topic, but I've never heard Noah used as a girl's name ?!? It's different and pretty but it just conjures up images of Noah's Ark when I hear it. It's almost like the name had been typecast.

And this coming from someone who's first name can be a boy or a girl's name.

@VIP - right? I highly doubt he was taking her out into traffic. But hey, a picture presented without actual context is sure juicy.

Thanks VIP : if it's like a back dirt road kinda thing with no traffic, I'm not as OUTRAGED! (Don't really care unless others are at risk of harm)

My cousins had a paddock bomb. They lived in the bush so I first drove an old manual commodore around age 9-10? No one but fences and a few trees could have been hurt

but it's not a driveway. it's not private property. she's driving on a public street. it's against the law----period. she's 13, for fuck sake. what if she were 10? 11? 12? still ok with you?

Who are you talking to Nancer?

When I was 13 I drove through most of Quebec, highway all the way. My dad did take over for Montreal, but handed it back over after. I think he wanted a nice long nap. It was fine. But I had been driving all over back roads for about a year at that time

I used to have a Commodore 64.

Anonymous said...

FSP: that was a computer game from the 70's or 80's? My cousins had one of those, and an Atari!
Here a commodore is a Holden care preferred by bogans

This is one of those things where, yea ,if the cops see it then they should give her daddy a hefty ticket, but they live out aways, so I don't see the big deal.

I was driving a tractor by 11 and took the farm truck out on the backroads by 12.

At least she didn't have her baby on her lap.

TracySwingKid said...

First started driving a tractor sitting in Grandad's lap when I was just a tiny tot. Drove it by myself as soon as I could reach the pedals. Same for car. Sat on Mom's lap until I could reach the pedals. Lived in rural N. GA and this is how all of us learned to drive.

The only outrageous thing here is that someone gave a 13 year old a Fiat? Wtf?

My mom let my 15-16 yr old sister and me drive her sedan up and down the alley that ran behind our street to practice in the church parking lot when I was 13-14.

I was 14 or so. Depending on this kid I think this is no big deal.

9. I couldn't actually reach the break pedal. But we were out in the middle of nowhere in the country on our very, very long dirt driveway.

My 5-year old sister could steer better than I could.

This is the most irrelevant piece of non-news ever posted on this site.

I learned to drive up and down my residential street at 13. My dad would pick me up and let me drive home from high school at 14. I'm happy he did these things. I had two years of practice before I took any tests. He helping her become a safer driver in the long run.

Good grief Enty did your parents keep you locked in that basement?

Like many I started learning to drive sitting in my parents lap steering the wheel. I think I graduated up to driving at around 11 on back roads and side streets.

Tweens for both of my kids, by the time they were old enough to get a learners permit they were pretty good drivers.

I was allowed to drive when I was 12. I was sitting in the passengers seat and my father let me just steer and drive down our block. He was in the drivers seat and controlling the pedals.

I once took the car for a joy ride around the parking lot at 16 yrs old, while my mom was in the store (she didn't know). Boy did I get in trouble when I crash into another car and ripped the bumper off. My mom punished me and I wasn't allowed to get my license until 17-1/2.

he is teachin his child how to drive i dont see the harm

Oh, cmon. My grandpa took let me drive like 10 mph through a developing neighborhood when I was 11. Harmless.

Alexa Rose said...

This seems pretty harmless. I think it is a good idea for kids to know basic driving skills in case of an emergency.

Meh. This isn't news. Some laws keep us from progress.

Our paddock basher was an old HQ Holden (Aussie verson of Chevrolet)

I agree with others. ALL of us drove well before the legal age to get a license. It does create better drivers because they have more experience.

I got to drive the Vega around the radio station where mom worked and I swear I drove that car to man the phones for a sports talk show when I was maybe 15. And it was a looong drive too. But as it was a Sunday evening in NC nobody was driving and the roads were deserted.

And I thought Noah was a boys name too.

I am not as appalled at the fact she was driving with her dad around the neighborhood as I am that HER PARENTS BOUGHT THEIR 13 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER A CAR!!!!!

Astrogirl: a classic!

First off, the car is supposed to eventually be "her" car. I had one at 14, that I practiced on until legal and I got to take ownership. Please list all of the accidents, DUIs, arrests, and other offenses committed by Trish, BR, Miley, Trace, Bryson, or Brandi, someone. I'll wait.
