So, for today I thought we would shoot back in time just a little. Not going to go back to Old Hollywood. We are just going back to those carefree days of the late 80's and early 90's. This A list female entertainer has had an amazing life. She has done just about everything possible in the entertainment world and is one of the most influential entertainers ever. Back in the day, our A lister had just gone through a very messy divorce. But, our actress had needs and loved, loved trolling the Lower East Side of Manhattan for Hispanic guys in her chauffeured driven limo. On one of her forays she found a 17 year old Hispanic guy and took him back to her place where she kept him for a few days until she grew tired of him. Well, it turns out that she gave this teenage boy the gift that keeps on giving. The Herp. Yep. Well, a few months later, our A lister was trolling the same neighborhood and people from the teenager's family recognized the car and before anyone could do anything all of his family pelted her car with trash from their garbage cans. Seems appropriate.

@Bubbles Technically it is pedophilia if the person is under 18. There is a slight gray area when it comes to someone who's 17 but you have to be within a certain age frame. (Thank you Britney Spear's little sister for teaching us that bit of the law.) In Madonna's case she could have been charged for statutory rape. Among a few other laws. IE: contributing to the delinquency of a minor, ect...

I read this rumour in some magazine already in the early 90s, without the herp part. Sure Madonna likes young boys but this sounds like another rehashed rumour.

Nope, it's not technically "pedophilia" just because someone's under 18. Pedophilia is attraction to prepubescent children. The more technical term for attraction to mid-to-late teens is "ephebophilia."

This might not be a popular opinion but everyone is responsible for.their own sexual health. Believe me, a man will go to a 24 hour pharmacy if it's the difference between gettin' some or not. He could have worn a condom and reduced his risks but he chose not to. He could have also told her he was older. Since we weren't there we know one of those statements is true, if this is fer reals that is.
I am reading an extremely graphic book called "Tampa" about a female predator having sex with (raping? I don't like to overuse the word, but it legally fits) 14 year old boys and I can't even imagine such a book about having sex with 14 year old girls being published in the mainstream. I've read Lolita, nothing like this. There is definitely a double standard out there about sexuality. And I know, water is wet, too.

There is TOTALLY a double standard about women having sex with underage boys as opposed to older men doing the same thing with underage girls. My ex-husband very proud of losing his virginity at 13 to a woman in her late 20s.

Madonna was rumored to make these limo-sex-drives (often with a bunch of her girlfriends) in the EARLY 80s during the 'Like A Virgin' part of her career (not "late 80s early 90s"). As others wrote, this was already printed 20 years ago in an unauthorized biography. It sounds like someone took an already known story and forced a new ending onto it so it would transcend the old news. I think Madonna has always been into the younger, darker-complexioned, simple and hot-bodied men AND women and always will be.
Oh, and I get the feeling she referenced this rumor in her video for 'Sorry' where she and her friends drove around NYC in a Hummer limo with a stripper pole in it and picked up various people to titilate her. David Lachapelle directed.
17 is the age of consent in NY so this is neither pedophilia (which is for pre-pubescent people) nor is this statutory rape.
Also, if this happened in the early to mid-80s, then Madonna was just in her mid- to late 20s then, so the age difference is not as stark as it would be if this were happening now.
And while I do not condone the passing of STDs, the responsibility here is split 50/50 between the two of them. The 17-yo also needed to make sure what he was getting himself into... and if this was the 80s, unfortunately, I don't think sexual health education was as widespread as it is now.
Amusing how some people just revel in their double standards.
