At the time of this blind she was 16 and he was 30. In California the age of consent is 18:

Something I don't understand... if it's illegal for an adult to get with a 16-year-old, why is it legal for Doug Hutchison to marry that middle-aged teenager? Laws be weird.
Agree that the guy's a dickwad, but I don't like the fact that Enty's "outed" Breslin, either, if what he's asserting is true. Yes, she's legally a minor, but she's certainly not the type who'd sleep around all over town just to try to get some juicy role. If, in fact, her parents are over-the-top, the last thing she needs is for Enty or anyone else to blow up a situation between her and them before she's ready to tackle the situation herself.

I agree. I'm usually not offended by any blind, but this seems a little off because of her age.

Age of consent doesn't apply if you are married. You can get married at 16 in some states (California too, I think) if you have the parents' permission.

It is just such a weird law... I really don't get why they make it legal to do an underage girl or boy, so long as there's a wedding.

@Lucas: here, if you're under 18 years, anyone 2 years older is considered a sex offender. Enty usually only outs victims, not offenders.
