I'm lovin' this Chicago/Thicke combo!

Anonymous said...

Okay, major doucheness aside, I'm LOVING this McCartney / Thicke collaboration! :-)

Kimba said...

Love it, great combo! Give me MORE, here we go.......

TalksTooMuch said...

Let's all join hands and give a prayer or thanks that whatever is going on with Robin Thicke, it does not involve either Miley Cyrus or a Beetle juice suit

JSierra said...

She got dumps like a truck truck truck guys like what what what baby move your butt butt butt all night looong.

As if this shit couldn't get any more boring, I give you Robin Thicke ladies and gentlemen.

WritergirlinLa said...

Robin Thicke is a couple of beats off. He sucks.

Steampunk Jazz said...

Thank you Robin for ruining a good song songs ...band. Fuck!

Kimba said...

Clap yer hands!

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

Saturday in the park!

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

Okay, I do love that song...guilty

Anonymous said...

Oh, um ... that's not Paul McCartney at all, is it? #MyBad

Steampunk Jazz said...

He looks like he wants to kill Thicker. Go for it!

WritergirlinLa said...

They are all thinking, "Whose lame idea was it to have this jerkwad sing with us?!"

Kelly said...

Okay, Robin is really great tonight!

Anonymous said...

Where is Pharrell in this line-up? He needs to get up on stage pronto!!

JSierra said...

Idk it doesn't sound like all of them are lipsyncing to me, mostly because sometimes it sounds like shit.

Unknown said...

bring on Miley

TalksTooMuch said...

Okay, somehow my beloved Robin Thicke got even cheesier...

JSierra said...

Then sometimes it does sound like lipsyncing. Shit, what do I know.

Anonymous said...

I think Robin Thicke is a great jazzy type singer ... shame about his doucheness

Kimba said...

Loving Thick, can't help it, I'm a dirty bird, I want his wife too, dynasty dresses and all!

Steampunk Jazz said...

Did he need the bouncer to be his camera mark? Jerk..

NaughtyNurse said...

Kimba, I'm with you!! YUM!

Anonymous said...

I could imagine lovely Keith practicing at home, and Nicole shouting "Would you stop with that racket? I'm trying to get some rest!"

JSierra said...

Keith looks like this lesbian that was on Tila Tequilas dating show, and that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

so much makeup on Urban. Jeez! Maybeline much

Susan said...

I don't care what you say about Robin Thicke. That was a great performance. Great collaboration.

Steampunk Jazz said...

Now THIS is music :-D

JSierra said...

Kimba I'll take the dresses after you carefully rip them off.

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

@Jsierra OH MY GAWD!!!! hahaha LOL

JSierra said...

Orvilla maybe he's born with it.

Anonymous said...

@Kimba and @NaughtyNurse - I think Paula Patton is gorgeous. She was interviewed on E! late last year in the studio and came across so beautifully - true heart of gold that one, and very, very pretty.

WritergirlinLa said...

Keith Urban sounds just like Gordon Lightfoot. Hmmmmmm.

Unknown said...

Man oh man Urban is fine. And I'm liking Gary Clark too, great guitar player.

Unknown said...

@J fuck I miss that show

Anonymous said...

@JSierra - LOL! I've always found his look a bit feminine ... and weirdly, with short hair, he looks even more feminine! Seems like a lovely man though.

Kimba said...

That's some good guitaring....like that....duo playing, so homo xo

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

@Jsierra ...maybe! you are killing me;D

Anonymous said...

Whomever decided on the collaborations deserves their own Grammy #FineWork

NaughtyNurse said...

Dang, this is a great Grammy show this year. I'm bummed I won't be able to watch much more. Gotta get up too early to do my nurse thing.

Steampunk Jazz said...

Susan my love for you does not extend to Robin butchering some good songs.
I actually like his jazz smoke but...this over sing thing was insulting

Anonymous said...

Why do we need this annoying backstage Twitter media person? Ick!

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

It's trouble having to listen to this bitch. Trouble trouble trouble

Kimba said...

Group girl crush! Patton is our three way, plus three +++++

Anonymous said...

@Renoblondee - I think I just heard that our Bruno is going to be performing!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO! I loved him on Graham Norton, where he sang 'Feels Like Heaven' - all of his band danced with him and were just so brilliant ...

JSierra said...

Tila Tequila: A Shot at Love. Pure gold. I still remember Tyler, my first lady crush. I will never forgive Tila for not choosing her at the end.

I can't believe we are barely an hour into this show, it feels like forever!

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

@stepforded i'm wondering the same thing

Unknown said...

I agree @J this music is not my scene...Tila has gone CRAZY now though she is a nazi and all this bad stuff

Steampunk Jazz said...

Naughty! Don't GO :'(
Who'll tuck us in tonight?

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

#twitter

Kristin Wigs said...

Maybe if we put it out into the universe enough, we'll get a Sisqo/Ozzy/Thong Song collab?

NaughtyNurse said...

OK…group spongebath before I turn in, Steampunk?

Steampunk Jazz said...

Hey TTM... you good? Did the kiddies get up?

WritergirlinLa said...

These commercials suck.

Unknown said...

John Legend! That is all.

Unknown said...

@Kristen with Ashlee Simpson on vocals?!

Anonymous said...

Gosh, so many performances - not a complaint though, this is superb!

Kristin Wigs said...

Or - OR! - a Sisqo/Lena Dunham Thong Song collab for Derek since it sounds like he has the devil's baby trying to claw his way outta him and probably doesn't have much time left? (Sorry Derek. Ya time is coming to an en :)

Steampunk Jazz said...

Well, my skin is too tender for loofah but a peppermint scrub would be sweet... ;-)

Unknown said...

lots of talent just the songs are so slow paced etc. and its so dark in there

Anonymous said...

@Derek Harvey - not a peep from Tila lately though, she's taken a self-imposed hiatus from her blogging

Steampunk Jazz said...

Nice...who is this?

Kimba said...

Legend, I forget how much I love his voice.....he'd be a dream to be with, sigh, sing to me softly, like that baby. I'm so fickle, I'm already like Thicke who?

Anonymous said...

LOL @ Kristin

I'd love a collaboration between Pharrell and Common ... even though Common is incredibly racist I still like his music

Unknown said...

@Kristen---alright I will contact the make a wish foundation and make it happen---now that Bieber will be behind bars maybe Sisqo will be their frontman

Anonymous said...

I wonder when David Bowie and Lorde are going to be collaborating ...

Kelly said...

@Step yay! He was amazing on SNL too!

Anonymous said...

Ouch! Toothache! #TooManyChocolates

Susan said...

Love John Legend.

JSierra said...

John Legend and Keith Urban have been superb, everyone else can suck it. It's not about the genre of music, it's about the quality and the passion. IMHO those two are the only ones who showcased actual talent.

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

Woohoo! Charlie Wilson and Kevin Hart!

Anonymous said...

I wish Uncle Charlie would push Kevin Hart off the stage #Annoying

WritergirlinLa said...

I love John Legend. He is amazing. Kevin Hart is soooooo short. He make Tom Cruise look tall!

NaughtyNurse said...

Oh, lawdy. John Legend sounds GREAT!

Kimba said...

Go Muse!

Unknown said...

weak choices for rock song nomination

JSierra said...

Muse is another great band to see in concert, it is an experience.

Whoop Dave!

Anonymous said...

Fake Paul! He looks as happy as his botoxed eyes will allow him to ... the real Paul would be happy.

Kelly said...

I've heard of John Legend a lot, but I don't think I've ever heard a song he sings ever.

Unknown said...

Ive never heard this song

JSierra said...

Derek I totally agree about the Rock noms.

I wonder how the real Paul McCartney would feel about this win 0_o

Anonymous said...

I imagine Dave Grohl's studio would be very dark and full of smoke ...

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

saw john legend with sade. it was AMAZING.

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

saw john legend with sade. it was AMAZING.

WritergirlinLa said...

Sir Paul is amazing in concert. Saw him at MSG.

Anonymous said...

@JSierra - that's what I wondered ... Faul got real-Paul's voice during the changeover tho'

Anonymous said...

I love Taylor's dress!

NaughtyNurse said...

Is Paul MacCartney wearing a Member's Only jacket???

Steampunk Jazz said...

I never thought THAT was going to happen. Jesus, this wasn't bought for an appearance...

Kristin Wigs said...

Uh oh, how do you follow John Legend's act when you're just copying John Legend's act?

Kimba said...

@Orvilla, that must have been incredible, a pinch yourself moment, luck you.

Anonymous said...

For my bootcamp-style popstars show idea, I think Taylor should definitely be the other 'coach' ... It would be TeamTaylor vs TeamP!nk

WritergirlinLa said...

I whip my hair!!!!

JSierra said...

Step I love that theory, and daresay I wholeheartedly believe it.

Someone call 911! Taylor is have a seizure! Call the pope, she needs and exorcist!

Steampunk Jazz said...

Omg, did they electrify the piano? That hair flinging was just sad....

Kimba said...

That's funny Taylor, swifting her hair all around, at least she's singin

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

@writergirl +1

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

BORING.

ninotchka said...

I'm still annoyed that this is not on here.

Also not on here, the Bachelor "wedding" at the Biltmore. It's been fucking traffic around the Four Seasons all day and is being broadcast live on the East coast. Can't these hos stay in LA where they belong?

NaughtyNurse said...

Oh, no. Taylor's tossing' her hair?! I love her, but nooooooo.

Steampunk Jazz said...

That is some hella hair goop, it fell right back into place!

Anonymous said...

We need some energetic songs mixed into the slow ones ... otherwise we're all gonna fall asleep

Unknown said...

Taylor has talent but its all just downer music tonight---I am gonna get my beauty sleep and PVR my lena night night

califblondy said...

I'm still waiting on the west coast, Is Chicago there? I love them!

Anonymous said...

Taylor's parents are so proud - did you see her Dad?! :-)

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

standing ovation? really?

JSierra said...

Nino thanks for the laugh, I just flipped to the Bachelor to see them skipping like leprechauns through a field.

Unknown said...

I'm the same age as Taylor Swift. I loved her when I first heard her 8 years ago, then I grew up and thought she was very childish and now I'm back to liking her. Or at least her songs. Just letting everyone know.

Anonymous said...

Ooooh - a performance by Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, Madonna AND Queen Latifah! Allllright! That's bound to be awesome - can't wait :-)

Steampunk Jazz said...

Yay Bruno! He's such a little pocket rocket. I would love to scratch his back...;-)

Anonymous said...

@califblondy - yes, they collaborated with Robin Thicke ... it was an amazing performance (the best yet)

NaughtyNurse said...

OK, everyone. Consider your tushies clean and yourselves tucked in. This nurse is off to bed. Enjoy the rest of the show.

ninotchka said...

JSierra - I pray they hit some cow patties.

It almost rained on their little famewhoring festival. Pity the weather had mercy on them.

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

i don't know how long i'm going to last

Unknown said...

Im not gonna lie I flipped over to The Kardashians lolll --GOOD NIGHHHT

WritergirlinLa said...

I'ma get more shine in a little bit
Soon as I hit the stage applause I'm hearing it
Whether it's black stars black hearts I'm feeling it
But can't none of them whip it like I do
I, I gets it in mmmm ya... I go hard
When they see me pull up I whip it real hard
I whip it real hard, real hard, I whip it real hard

Unknown said...

I heard through the grapevine that gay couples will be married onstage during Macklemore's performance!

Steampunk Jazz said...

Derek, Who's gonna read us a bedtime story after NN gives us a bath?
Nnnooo!!!

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

priceless surprises? wow!

Kristin Wigs said...

Right @Orvilla? I don't know of another award show where they go through standing ovations like those cartoon bears go through Charmin.

Don't go Derek! I'm missing Nene Leakes in a negligée throwing down on Housewives for this mess.

Steampunk Jazz said...

Night night naughty nurse, may all your dreams be as sweet as you...O:-)

Kristin Wigs said...

Night Naught Nurse. Night Derek. Don't let the devil baby kill you slowly from the inside tonight. SWEET DREAMS.

Unknown said...

IT'S PINK TIME! Been waiting for this

Anonymous said...

Bruno! Awwww ... I thought he would be performing :-(

Kelly said...

About 32 random people will be married with Queen Latifah officiating.

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

@kristin exactly!

@derek dont go

goodnight @NN miss ya

Anonymous said...

Yipppeeee - P!nk! She's an amazing performer. I wish she was singing one of her 'poppier' songs though.

Kelly said...

Lord I love me some Pink!

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

i know you can do it Pink. Good Gawd, already!

Steampunk Jazz said...

Oh shit! Go Pink!

Steampunk Jazz said...

Oh shit! Go Pink!

JSierra said...

Derek you mustn't leave! Nobody can leave! NN you have to stay!

Sooo what happens if Pink falls?

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

I wish she would do something different.

Anonymous said...

Nitey night NN - don't let the bed bugs bite (or scratch your back)

Anonymous said...

Not to sound ungrateful, but ... this is exactly what she did at her concert #NotNew

JSierra said...

Holy shit!! This is incredible!!

Kristin Wigs said...

When I do my spread eagle trapeze dancing I don't use all those extra harnesses. Just sayin, Pink.

Anonymous said...

They should've had Cory play that role with her ...

Anonymous said...

This is 'Fun', right?

Kelly said...

WHAT!? GO PINK!

Anonymous said...

No, it's not - ignore me ...

Steampunk Jazz said...

Jeeze, she joined the circus! I wish they had name captions...who is this guy?

Anonymous said...

Gosh, P!nk's out of breath! Honestly, at her concert she just kept going and going and going ... it was surreal (but she'd been performing in Oz pretty much non-stop for months on end).

I love her voice ... this is a great collaboration ... the guy is great too.

JSierra said...

Yeah I agree it is old, but at least its a cool something old and not a lame, "hey I'm just chillen at my piano again" something old.

I could listen to Nate sing alll day. Lena does not deserve you, honey.

Anonymous said...

@JSierra - who is Lena? And is Nate from a band, or a solo artist?

Anonymous said...

Come on Lorde ... come on ... come on ...

Anonymous said...

Who are these people singing the artists' songs???

Unknown said...

why are the min pops on/

Anonymous said...

AAAAAARGH!!! Go Lorde and Joel! #SoProud

Unknown said...

*mini----

Anonymous said...

Bless Bruno and Katy for being so gracious :-)

Steampunk Jazz said...

Good! They deserved it. I'm surprised they didn't show the music board " as best band backup"

Kelly said...

Lorde is nor a pretty thing is she?

JSierra said...

Lena Dunham is dating Nate Ruess (who did the duet with Pink) who is the lead singer of the popular band called Fun.

Lorde seemed genuinely surprised, her accent surprised me though. Her voice with her accent sounded thick, if that makes any sense.

Unknown said...

I love Pink, I don't care if she's done the trapeeze (sp?) thing a million times before, it's 1000x better than anything that's been on that stage tonight. And now I just need Daft Punk/Pharrell/Nile to perform!
Oh and GO LORDE!

Kimba said...

I'd be freaked out of mind too if I were Lorde, I'm glad she won, and I hope she'll be okay....eaten alive....save Lorde!

Unknown said...

@JSierra Isn't Lena dating that other guy in Fun, the one with the big ass hipster glasses?

Steampunk Jazz said...

I know what you mean jsierra,I though she was southern in her sluuur. I wasn't expecting an Anglo ish accent...

JSierra said...

Lol Karen ahh you are correct, Jack Antonoff. I just thought Nate had taken off his glasses a lot lately.

Steampunk Jazz said...

Hahahaha

Anonymous said...

@Renoblondee - I think she just takes the 'goth look' a bit too far.

@JSierra - I know what you mean. I think she sounded incredibly nervous, hence why she went up a bit at the end of one of her sentences. I don't sound like that - I work in Oz a lot too though, so my accent is very neutral. I thought she sounded a tad British.

Kimba said...

History in the making!!!!!!

JSierra said...

Perhaps I am drunk, but this sounds like a half assed Margaritaville

Unknown said...

@JSierra An easy mistake ;) I'm kind of ashamed that I actually kind of knew you were wrong. Lena is bleeh.

I love seeing Ringo sing :)

Steampunk Jazz said...

What is up with the whole Beatles thing? Its pissing me off. Yeah, OK ...yada yada can we get on with this? My buzz is dying here...
Love you Ringo, truly

Anonymous said...

@JSierra - thanks for that! I thought he looked like the guy from Fun. Wow - it could be a 'showmance' between those two? Otherwise, interesting combination ...

Kristin Wigs said...

If you are playing by your drinking game rules, you are indeed drunk JSierra.

Don't we honor the Beatles every other year? Do we just do a rolling tribute between Springsteen, Prince, and the Beatles on alternate years? When will Sisqo and Dru Hill get their due?

Kimba said...

Wait where Paul? I thought they'd be singing together, sads. Still loved it, it's Ringo darling.

Anonymous said...

I think JT definitely deserves it - voice of a male angel, that one. Not necessarily Jay Z though ...

JSierra said...

Step he is in Fun, I at least got something right in that equation, surprisingly. This boxed wine is good, someone take it away quick!

Karen I too know things I am ashamed of, mainly things about reality stars that I have no business paying attention too.

Anonymous said...

Jay Z made a lovely tribute to his wife, but where was his mention of "sorry but JT couldn't be here tonight because" ... self-centred twat made it all about him.

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

dick move JayZ. typical things

JSierra said...

Where is everyone else? Did we drive them off?

Steampunk Jazz said...

It may not be saying much but Ringo still sounds as good as he did in Octopus's Garden :-D

Anonymous said...

@Kimba - I sort of get the impression that they're not talking to one another, even though they're seated beside each other. Something is amiss there. Or maybe they made a pact not to perform without the others (RIP)?

Kimba said...

Cool trailer for Malificent....can't spell it, but it looks sups! Jolie is perfection.

Unknown said...

@JSierra Fortunately we don't get a lot of reality shows over here so I haven't gotten accustomed to them and therefore don't feel the need to look them up now that I know how the internet works. But regular Hollywood gossip is my Achilles heal.

Steampunk Jazz said...

I think we lost the kiwi contingent. Only stepforded is left to represent... But I could be wrong :-\

Anonymous said...

I hope the trolls don't get to Lorde - she received some really nasty comments on Twitter about her boyfriend James ... no wonder some of these acts get shielded from all the media stuff by their minders.

Kristin Wigs said...

Alright, I'm sold. I'll buy that Lana Del Rey 'Maleficent' jam after the Grammy's. Well played, Jolie.

Anonymous said...

@Steampunk - who else here is from NZ? I think I've missed something!

Anonymous said...

Oh cool - love this!

Steampunk Jazz said...

Who? ...speaking of old, I got new glasses today...:-D

Unknown said...

Kendrick Lamar is great, I can't believe he lost to Macklemore in all of the Rap categories. Loving this performance!

Anonymous said...

LOL! Go Taylor, go (dancing)! Who is that with her?

Kimba said...

Are we in a worm hole and we're the only ones left?

JSierra said...

ayy ayyy Kendrick my boy!

Oh god, Taylor sit down please! Noooo she is the only one standing, oh jeez I am so embarrassed for her someone pass me the vodka.

Kimba said...

are they sexy librarian glasses Steampunk?

Anonymous said...

@JSierra - there were two other people dancing - I think (couldn't quite make her fact out though), one may have been Katy.

They just flashed to Lorde - I don't want to diss my fellow countryperson, but her expression was a bit nana-like! LOL ...

JSierra said...

Whats up with the picture? It's like I'm watching a music video from 1996.

Kimba said...

Who's this? I like it, I feel the need to do an Elaine dance.

Anonymous said...

@Steampunk - what colour frames?

I got some a couple of weeks ago - cats' eye frames, dark blue, with cute paw prints on the side - Collette Dinnigan designed. Love them!

Anonymous said...

Hee hee - Steven Tyler singing along from the audience ...

Anonymous said...

Here's Catt Sadler's Dopelganger ...

Steampunk Jazz said...

Lololol I just looked at your pic step! Hilarious! I'm not sure who else, I'll get back to you on that but I remember going another NZ? Wild!

Kristin Wigs said...

How embarrassing is it for Swifty's friend that always has to dance with her at the award shows while everyone else sits?

JSierra said...

Step yeah it looks like a lot of people are standing now, idk if it was the angle or what but at the beginning all you could see was a sea of seated audience members and Taylor dancing in the first row.

Jeez I hate this girl's music, I feel bad because she was really sweet and cool on the red carpet but her "Blowing Smoke" song drives me absolutely bonkers. Her dress is not okay though. Not okay.

Anonymous said...

@Steampunk - Dame Cate rules! Hee hee :-) I wasn't aware of another Kiwi posting here.

Unknown said...

I just have to say again .. Hurrah! Kendrick + ID tore it up!

JSierra said...

She does look exactly like Cat Sadler!
