Blind Item #1

These two actresses/former co-stars hate each other. One is a B list mostly television actress on a struggling network show. The other is a B+ list mostly television actress who goes from one hit project to the next. Apparently the B lister, who used to be an A lister is jealous of the B+ lister and used to treat her like crap. It also doesn't help that another former co-star who is always willing to stir up trouble and desperate for parts whispers things in each of their ears.

SMG and Hannigan

Longoria/Hatcher?

I think Jerk got it - the clue being "desperate".

I agree with Purbear. SMG's show is not doing too hot and somehow, Hannigan got a sitcom that went on forever on the same network.

It was announced yesterday that Hannigan will be in a new show in the fall as well. DM has a pick of a mini Buffy reunion on SMG's show--no Hannigan.

Discobitch said...

It was smg Seth and Michelle t hardly a reunion of sorts. I really dunno why you Muricans are so in love with the daily fail. It's not fit for the bottom of a cat litter tray seriously

Anyhoo this blind seems familiar. Hasn't it been here before and smg/hannigan were revealed?

I agree with the SMG and Hannigan guess. Michelle Tractenberg for the troublemaker.

Who's in love with the DM? I was just pointing out where the blind came from.

Almost every time I read the comments the DF is mentioned as a source. Most normal people here in the uk know it's a horrible paper because of it's bigoted sometime racist articles. Does anyone who reads this site actually read more than the entertainment section of the DF?

I sort of don't get what your point is (on behalf of purbear.
I don't think anyone has ever said that thd DM is some sort of bastion of journalistic excellence.

@disco DM is a prime Entybot source for BIs. Nobody claims its good except when you compare it to the Mirror or Sun.

Sarah and Allison are both on cbs . I wouldn't call it struggling network

It's not just this site though. A few others quote it too. But fairymuff I just wonder why it's all of a sudden popular in the us

I have to agree with the Buffy SMG and Hannigan...
I Was a big fan of Buff and Wheden..., you could tell when he stepped back from the show, the storylines would crash( IMO). That last season? An abso mess. SMG vibrating with rage, Trachtenberg overacting the one emo, Brandon and Hannigan stressed out or gleefully tearing up the scenery...
Sigh.. At least Scooby doo was in the future for SMG, which she made a point of rubbing in everyone's noses at the last cast party..
I'm sure that memory makes Hannigan smile... :-D

Disco, people look to the DFail for the answer to blinds. I myself think this site is owned by the same group who have the Daily Fail. I don't typically read it however.

I think struggling describes the show, not the network.

I agree with the SMG/Hannigan guesses because it says the B+ lister goes from one successful "project" to another. So she has HIMYM as well as the "American Pie" movies. I had always heard stories of how awful SMG was to her co-stars so it's satisfying to see Hannigan do well and for SMG to struggle.

Ha, Ms "I'm a serious actress so no more Buffy, it's movies for me" Gellar. She threw everyone under the bus with that one and no one's shedding a tear for her. Willow's on record saying she was difficult to work with and got tired of the show after the second season - it went on for five more seasons, so you must imagine how great the rest of the actors were to hide their distaste for the diva.

@Discobitch - the reason people reference the DM a lot in the comments is this: (for a long while) it's been the consensus among CDAN readers that Enty(s) gets all of his/her/its "blinds" and stories right off of the pages of the DM.

Cassiopeia said...

I imagine SMG to be exactly like her character "Kendall" on All My Children.

OKay said...

Her Kendall was pretty awesome, though.

Yeah, it's the DMC, or Daily Mail Code. A lot of blinds that seem somewhat odd or random, if you go to the DM you will find a picture that brings it all together.

It's widely believed and certainly my belief that many blinds here are invented via the DM -- a photo of two celebs posing together will be reimagined into a wild tale.

Most normal people in the US know it's a horrible paper, too, but like was mentioned, the many blinds of the many Entys have a tendency to coincide with DM stories. I don't get your point either, Discobitch, since it is such a ridiculous excuse for journalism, why would we be reading anything more weighty than the entertainment section?

Unknown said...

Didn't see this answer before I posted above. I don't know why the Daily Mail got so popular here, but I have noticed more people seem to read and reference it than before. I think it's that lowest common denominator, tabloid quality it has that just makes it mindless, salacious reading.

Steampunk I'm was also a BtvS fan - in fact I recently watched series seven (ikr, the pain - I wanted to watch 'once more with feeling' and got stuck). Then went back to start at series one - Angel's about to experience - ahem - perfect happiness.

Anyhoo, I believe SMG blew of the final BtvS wrap party. There is feature footage on the box set and they discuss that she wasn't attending. Unless you're talking about a different party, then SMG wasn't boasting about anything there except by her absence.

Their fortunes have certainly changed though. SMG was not very nice about and to her cast mates, or the show. Fathom the shortsightedness of dissing such a loyal director add Whedon.

Hannigan just landed the Affleck/Damon/Papa spilot, which seems like a lame, broad comedy unless they subvert it somehow but it could become another 2.5 Men or Big Bang Theory - CBS's hit shows for the most part aren't terribly good. They just appeal to a very low common denominator.

@Discobitch - +1 with regard to your last sentence ... I was about to post the same
