I must say Hickory Farms baskets are terrific gifts! That and Wine and country gift baskets. You can't go wrong with those things, especially if the person you are buying for likes to snack (and/or wine).
I think those are good for 6 months enty.
Look at it as an early Easter basket.

I was so disappointed the year i got a gift basket. The food was awful, and apparently is made to last a nuclear winter. Untasty.
I love those things. Cheese and snausages...good stuff! And if there's tea or chocolates or something, even better.

I bought a package of soppressata a few weeks ago and couldn't believe the taste difference from regular store-bought salami. I will, however, confess to having used Cheez Whiz on a superbowl party dish. It was the only way I could spell out "your team's gonna lose" with precision on the dip.
We're still on the See's candy from Christmas in my office. Chocolate never goes bad.
