Hope so, for the families... but IDK

Yes, but that doesn't mean it will be any time soon.

No. Hope my opinion is of value.

I doubt it. Sadly.

Kelly said...

Yes, but maybe a really long time from now. Hey, we found the Titanic!

If the cargo hold wasn't full of gold, then no one will look for it after another couple months.

I think either aliens took the plane, because they need more subjects to anally probe, or the US gubment hijacked it, because they are running low on MK Ultra sex slaves to keep Congress happy. They all keep opening their veins after leaving Pelosi's office.

Of course Courtney love is already on it

Eventually. But maybe not in our lifetimes.

Simon said...

Eventually but not anytime soon, sadly. They have no idea where it is. Lesson out of this is we need to make sure planes have technology so we know where they are that can't be shut off from inside the plane.

Never is a long time, but with the search starting to scale back I'm doubtful it will be any time soon. I could see where it might be found accidentally at some point. I do hope they find it for the sake of the families but also because the longer it stays missing the stranger the theories become about what happened to it.

It took them like 30 years to get the Liberty Bell 7 out of the ocean off the Bahamas.

This is going to take forever.

Mama Bear said...

If they can find that Air France flight, they should hopefully find this one too.

auntliddy said...

Ues, but it will take years.

I agree with JAS, they will but it will not be soon. I feel so badly for the families,

I read this interesting article on rense.com today that said the cia knows exactly what happened to flight 370 but they aint talking. The conspiracy nut in me is vying for this opinion.

Define "found". Do "hundreds of pieces floating around and at the bottom of the ocean" count? Because that is a distinct possibility. I think they'll eventually turn up some parts, but I'm not optimistic about getting most of it. All depends on what happened, though.

My heart breaks for the families. Horrifying and heart-breaking. As bad as a deadly air crash can be, I cannot imagine the additional pain of this drawn-out event.

I think it may be found eventually but I do not believe we will ever know the most important things: the WHY and exactly who changed course. It could take years like the Titanic or it could be like Amelia Earhart - her remains have not been found but it sounds like progress has been made in the last couple of years. So sad for the families.

Echo what was said above about Titanic. It took us a very long time to find it, a huge boat that was broken in half but otherwise intact... and we had a pretty good idea of the area in which to look.

Since we don't know exactly what happened (every conspiracy loon and their brother appears to be an 'expert', but it's still just speculation), there's no guarantee that anything solid or larger than a placemat even returned to earth/the ocean, which is vast and deep. I don't have high hopes that we'll find anything.

I feel so badly for the families of all on board.

JoElla said...

@Eros, with all of the running in circles information, it really made a lot of the conspiracy theories quite viable.

Well except CNN's 'black hole' theory. That one, we can safely take off the table.

It will be interesting to see which Country blinks first, and ponies up with what their satellite capabilities are.

Until this happens, sadly, I dont' think we will ever find her.

Yes. Probably not the whole plane, but definitely parts of it will surface...even if it's just a life vest or brochure that floats to shore. I just find the whole thing so bizarre with the technology now-a-days. Just to disappear off radar and the face of the earth without a trace.

califblondy said...

ITA Crila, someone has to know something!

Jeri said...

Wish I knew. Someone knows what happened & where it is but will the rest of the world find out? I sure hope so for everyone on board & their families.

Sadly, this searched has been botched from the beginning. Lots of misinformation. I can't tell if that was intended or not - if not, remarkably amateurish start to this. Why not take a 777 and fly the route they believe the Malaysian airlines flight did and see where you end up (obviously not from the beginning to avoid running out of fuel)

JoElla said...

I have read that they actually do have the tech to track plans, but it is a subscription service. however, the Malaysian airlines chose not to pay for it. Something about them having money problems preventing, or choosing not to.

Bleu said...

Yes, we'll all "find" it when it hits a building in a few months. Probably, oh I don't know, maybe ... September's a good guess?

Leekalicious said...

Oh, someday, poor souls ...

Unknown said...

No. We probably won't find it and it doesn't matter. Between the media obsession, the conspiracy lunatics and the fake mourning of strangers, it's difficult to choose which one is more grotesque and inappropriate.

Unknown said...

I agree with JAS, pieces will be found but not any time soon.

I didn't realize how bad the currents were out that way in normal weather, let alone now that fall is coming in that area of the world. Much of that area is uncharted and avoided by boats as a rule.

Some expert was saying because it is so deep you can have layers of of currents running - it may look calm on top but you go a mile down and the current is not calm and vice versa. So I can see the debris is going to just keep getting broken down and moved and they may not really be able to fish them out of the water. The area they are looking at now is basically a volcanic ridge, the plane could have landed right inside some underwater volcano, there are a lot of underwater cliffs and crevices where the plane could be trapped or large pieces of it and it may block the black box beacon which is almost up of battery power in the best case scenario.

The CIA may know what happened, they can sift through chatter etc. I do know my father said that the Americans found new "evidence" recently that supported the statement by the Malaysians that the diversion of the plane was deliberate. Anyone hear what that evidence was beyond what was already in the public domain.

But it is up to the Malaysians to divulge that information I would imagine, assuming the CIA shared it with the Malaysians. The Americans are still a bit part of this rescue effort.

Eros said...

@ Joella I agreed wholeheartedly with all you've said. Its all very sad.. I have been purposefully not watching the news because I feel very bad for all those families. They will never have closure.

Big part not bit part

Sherry said...

Yes I think we will but it will be some time before they do. I also feel for the families.

Yes.. In another dimension ( insert alien emoticon )

I think it will be found eventually by some private group who do this kind of search because it will be a big "find" for them.

But there is a small part of me that is more on the conspiracy side. We (and several other countries) have the technology to listen in on anything and watch the world from the sky. I think we (and some of the other countries) are purposely not divulging where it is because then they would have to give up all of their technology and it will prove to the world how much we spy on everyone (not like it's a big secret though). And an even smaller part of me still thinks that the plane is in tact somewhere hidden in a foreign country and will eventually be used in a huge terrorist attack (I don't believe any of the passengers are alive though).

La Minette Grincheuse said...

@Eros I think you are right - the U.S. doesn't want to disclose their full capabilities in monitoring what goes on in the world, so they drop some hints, but knowing the plane crashed they are in no hurry.

My bet is pieces wash ashore somewhere and eventually are identified as wreckage.

they found the Titanic. They will find the missing plane.

It will be found when the powers that be want it to be found. (Putting on tinfoil hat and spooky music.)

I think it will be found but not for a while. The ocean is huge.

the bomoh said the plane is trapped in the air. hes the one who found the little boy who was lost in the mountain by having them sacrafice a goat. everyone is really superstitious there, but the bomoh finds things by using his magic fishing rod.

A good friend of mine (fellow actress and conspiracy theorist) sent me a link to a blog written by a woman who is convinced that the plane is located in a parallel universe ... which it travelled to by way of a Bermuda Triangle-type vortex in the Indian Ocean. The blog in question has some 1,100 comments now, with contributions from many like-minded people, some expanding on what the original blogger said which prove for very interesting reading. I'm not sure I agree with this, especially now that people are talking about it being in the 1950s, and they are in the jungle with warriors with white-painted faces. It just sounds too ... mythical for me.

Lisa Williamson, the UK-born famous psychic who now lives in California, intimated last week (or was it the week before?) that all would be revealed in three weeks' time. Read into that what you will. Do I think she's right? No, I think she's hoping they'll find some clues or debris within three weeks, then be proven right.

Others have speculated that the plane is in Pakistan, and the passengers have all been taken hostage. Others have agreed the plane is in Pakistan, but have said that when the plane ascended to its maximum height, all of the passengers would have died through lack of oxygen. I think this is a possibility.

Then there are those who are convinced that the plane is in Diego Garcia, where it took the precious freight. I'm not sure about that one. What, aside from batteries and people, was the plane carrying? That said, it had four key people onboard who had developed something that was awaiting patents and if they die then the money goes to one Jacob Rothschild.

I watched that flight data where there is a mystery plane on the radar that suddenly speeds off. I don't think it's strange that it turned into a questionmark before disappearing as I've seen that happen to regular planes too. So I'm not buying the 'stolen by a UFO' theory.

I personally think that something mechanical happened, at which point the pilot turned to head back to Kuala Lumpur. At that point, the cabin filled with some sort of gas that knocked everyone out, leaving the plane to fly on autopilot South, into the Indian Ocean. I believe it will be found submerged in the underwater mountains in many, many years. Or perhaps there will be a volcanic eruption underwater that will push it to the surface more quickly. I believe this plane had an issue which was worked on shortly to it being put back into service, so the problem could be linked to that.

Sadly, there are already many, many scripts in the works for this tragedy. My agent has been contacted about finding Asian actors to play the pilot and co-pilot already, so we should see quite a few movies on this in time to come.

@Anon - Amelia's plane was found in 2010, but there was a coverup for some reason and the exact details were kept hidden. More recently, ancient-looking makeup items (powder case and mirror, lipstick case) were found on Nikumaroro Island, which they believed to be hers.

Anonymous said...

@JoElla - that is correct; they opted not to subscribe because they were already struggling financially. Boeing kept very quiet on all of this until a week ago, when they said they believed the plane is in Pakistan.

The question keeps being asked - and nobody is responding - why not take two planes up in the air and have one go North, one go South, with that much fuel and see where they end up? (With reserves onboard to fuel up if they end up in the middle of nowhere).

Anonymous said...

I appreciate your common sense approach and comments.

I think they are at Diego Garcia - passengers and crew, all alive; CIA know what's up with them.

The plane was loaded with far more beverages and food than is standard for a trip to Beijing - for example, 300 bottles of wine. There are other anomalies which have been released to the media but are not being openly reported at this time so I cannot go into them.

I believe the plane was diverted because of something to do with the passport stealers - the CIA are onto this.

What do you know - around 24 hours before the FDR battery is supposed to die, the Australians are going to be releasing "new" information and searching a much more precise area. My bet is they find something "just in time". The U.S. has known, and just been slowly hinting information to narrow the search.

I love the idea of some of the conspiracy theories above. My biggest doubt with the hijacking theories is that over 200 people is a large group to wrangle and manage over time. With that many people, unless you kill them all (which destroys leverage), I would think someone would claim responsibility and put the squeeze on ASAP.

It is a bit mysterious about Amelia's plane - they did find evidence, but I thought it wasn't definitive. Perhaps they don't think the idea of her living alone on a rock in the ocean for a long period of time is something people would be comfortable with. But, after Lost, Cast Away, etc., I think society would better be able to handle such news that happened so long ago.
