This A list mostly television actor got really wasted over the weekend when he was out of town. He also hooked up with a woman. This would be surprising news to his long time boyfriend, although our actor has done this before. He is open to whoever he happens to be attracted to that night.

I remember once reading that these sort of blinds were put out by (in this case) NPH's 'people' because the general public take better to bisexuality rather than 'full on' gay. But i probably read that on one of my infrequent excursions to Datalounge where I think bisexuality is the sin to end all sins, sooooo...

JAS once did a pretty good post about bisexuality, the most common thing about it being that people don't believe it exists, so I don't know if being thought of as bisexual would help anyone.
I think the point is that the 'ladies' all hope they might actually have a chance, which they wouldn't if he's out and out gay. Not for me mind, he really doesn't do it for me. Smarmy.
He's been all the way gay for years now. He's married. He has kids. He's worked at a very successful level since coming out. Why would we just now be trying to pull out the bi publicity stunt? People wanted ultra gay Matt Bomer for 50 Shades. I think women still know how to fantasize.

Right, @Violet. There still exists an idea in Hollywood that women can't connect with a good-looking actor who is openly gay. Homosexuality is still so taboo (and secretly hot) that half the blinds are all about which hot Hollywood hunk bats for both teams on the sly. Tons of ladies lust after Matt Bomer still, though.
I sort of live in a deluded bubble where Rupert Everett and I might indulge in some hot loving. I know. The shame.
I can't see why any woman would fantasise about Neil Patrick Harris even if he was as straight as they come. It's not going to change what he looks like. As such, I doubt if makes any real difference, gay, bi, straight.

NPH and Burtka are yet to be married. Plus a lot of gay relationships are "open," which means it's open season if they are away. Never play in your own backyard, so to speak.

+1, Froggy. Usually I'm attracted to funny guys regardless of looks (Seth Green, Ricky Gervais, Seth MacFarlane, David Spade). NPH is the exception to that rule. Funny funny guy but not even remotely attractive to me.

NPH is not married, but on his Oprah Network interview he said he had dated and slept with women in the past, but those days were long over for him. He was too comfortable in his skin and he said 'I'm a gay man, I'm not bi, as much as I love women in general.' or something like that.
On the other hand, I suspect NPH has "cheated" on Burtka in the last few years (wasn't there a blind somewhere that was widely believed to be Matt Morrison and NPH fooling around during his guest spot on Glee?). Also, NPH's Instagram has some pictures of the Room 23 book lady, so who knows what that crowd does on vacation.

This blind is originally from July, 2013. NPH wasn't doing Hedwig then, he was finishing up his hiatus before HIMYM started filming it's last season.
Also, Bomer still had a long term boyfriend last summer. I think they just recently got married. But he's not really A list.
