Blind Items Almost Revealed

December 22, 2013

This B list actress who has had an A list year on a very hit cable show was set to headline an event but canceled at the last minute leaving organizers with no one to fill her spot. She said she would return the money she was paid. Our actress has barely been functional with her drug addiction and everyone is worried how she is going to handle upcoming press tour.

She has a new show this fall.

Lady H, are any of those people you named that Anna Gunn lady?

Skyler-Anna Gunn, has Gracepoint coming out. Lots of drug use rumors

+1 Derek. Never even remotely interested.

Who has a new show coming this fall that was on a hit cable show in 2013?
Betsy Brandt has a new show and was on Breaking Bad. I didn't get through all of these though.

Guido it totally sucked us in. Loved it and I recommend forgetting all the hype and watching anyway.

At least she returned the money. Hope she gets clean as well. Addiction sucks. I know too well.

Betsy has two TV shows coming up. I can also confirm that the time I met Aaron Paul and his wife was because he was covering at the last minute for Brandt, who bailed on a BrBa S4 Faceoff Finale event. Thus, I know Brandt seemed to have some issues too, but Gunn's weight loss and drug rumors are much more rampant. Both prospects are believable, and both sadden me deeply.

I am currently in the middle of season 5 of BrBa while simultaneously watching it from the beginning with my husband. It really is that good.

Me either, derek! So odd. I think we might be the only ones

I spoke too soon! High five Guido!

X. O. To me esteemed TTM.

Kristin Wigs said...

TTM I only watched the first episode. It ended with Cranston panties so I turned it off and walked right into the ocean.

Are they both on blue meth? sorry. Couldn't help it

bootsm said...

She lost a ton of weight. Surely to diet and exercise....

TalksTooMuch said...

Soooo now I feel like I should watch just to find out what Cranston panties are. Urban dictionary scares me. I think I will just go stare at Aaron Paul's gifs for an hour instead. Le sigh

Kristin Wigs said...

There's a surprising lack of Cranties gifs on the internet.

I guess making a show about drugs is hazardous to your addictive tendencies.

I don't know if it's this Gunn chick because she won an Emmy. Don't Enty always say if they have won an award?.

And I thought I was the only person who had never seen Breaking Bad. Glad to see I'm not alone

Betsy Brandt was busy last year with The Michael J. Fox show.

I've never seen it either but want to...I also should watch mad men from the beginning... I spend far too much time reading abt celebs than watching their "work"

rajahcat said...

everyone should watch BB-it might be the best tv series ever

Unknown said...

I thought Skyler, also. She blamed weight gain on meds and then lost lots of weight- hmmm, not sure. And yes, BB and Sopranos are the two best shows ever. Sorry I was late to the party on Netflix and hadn't watched all along. It is amazing.

Breaking Bad really is that good. I also just started rewatching Mad Men from the beginning. Better than I remembered.

Kristin and all y'all- YOU. HAVE. GOT. TO. WATCH. BREAKING. BAD. YOU. WILL LOVE. IT.

Anna Gunn. She has dropped major weight and looks like she may have a bit of a coke problem.

TBH I really hated Skyler - I found her to be so irritating

I have never seen the Sopranos.
I have never seen Homeland.
I have never seen Breaking Bad.

I don't see any reason to feel ashamed about these facts. There's nothing remotely interesting about those shows to me so why spend the time just because other people like them?

Specific to BB: I've been on a regulated dose of Adderall for longer than that show was on the air. Why would I want to watch a show about meth addicts and people who make meth while I'm on a prescribed legal dose? That's just asking for trouble.

Specific to Homeland: I spent a year living with my grandmother and taking care of her. And every week I'd be reading in my room and all I'd hear blaring from the tv was "You are a TERRORIST!" Or "But he's an ASSET!" Followed by "No he's a terrorist!" Over and over and over and seriously she won an Emmy for screaming the same damn thing every week.

Now I like to randomly shout those phrases at my grandma at family gatherings and she thinks it's hilarious.

@Derek Me either. I've heard such raves about it that I've rented (Netflix'd) it starting with season 1 but I can't get past the pilot. I've watched it twice and it just bores me, I start doing something else.

@everyone else who watches BB: when does it get good?

auntliddy said...

Hot- it really builds. End of first season is good. Its not an immediate gratification show; you have to be patient, but the payoff is awesome. They write characters into such corners, ur like no way they get out of it, but they do and its all believable. Naturally do as u please but as i say payoff is awesome. Your jaw will drop at times.

Everybody thought Gunn because she lost all that weight...hope it's not her. :/

I am on season 4 and enjoying it, that Gus fella is one cold hearted mofo

@Riven well I guess there is no reason to be "ashamed" but at the same time there is also no reason to be so proud. Discounting Homeland these are 2 of the best shows if not the best ever created. Not just in the minds of fans, in the opinions of film studies teachers and students and others who spend their careers categorizing such things. PBS had an excellent special on the golden age of TV in America which took the viewers all the way from Dick van Dyke to the Sopranos to BB - and it made such sense. There is a reason these 2 shows are featured so prominently in this special. So I guess I get the pride one might take in not liking popular things, but it does come across as contrary for the sake of being so the way you describe it.

Also don't see how anyone in the world could possibly think BB makes drug use attractive! The whole point of the show is that small moral choices can lead to devastating consequences and that it really is black and white, there is no grey. I feel like kids should watch this show and it will make them not want to use drugs. It does the opposite of glamourizing them whereas the Sopranos to an extent does glamourize the drugs and money and lifestyle that come along with being so "connected".

As for Claire Danes - I guess you weren't listening to the parts of the show where she was suffering from bipolar? Because that is a large part of why she won awards. Without that the show is just 24 on pay cable. She is unbelievable in her portrayal of someone with this mental illness. Personally I don't watch anymore because I have enough real life situations I can watch of that kind, but I have to give her credit, she is uncanny.

Ok back to the blind. I hope its not Anna Gunn or Betsy Brandt but it sure seems like it is. I love Marie, so I'll go w Skyler unfortunately.
