I remember when 'Alien' first came out in the theaters. Scared me shitless.

@OneEyedCharlie - "Alien" is the scariest movie I've ever seen. By the time it was over I was practically underneath my theater seat. To this day I haven't watched it again.

All of the sequels were terrible - or worse.

I watched Alien for the first time at the house of friend of my parents. They went out to dinner and I stayed home, in this strange house, in the woods, near Clear Lake, and watched it with all the lights off.

Wasn't the least bit scary. *twitch*

C'mon, Aliens was a damn fine sequel.

He was brilliant and will be missed.

Oh wow! Alien is one of the most beautifully thought through creatures in sci-fi as well as some of the scenery.

@Andrew. I suggest you try it again. Preferably in a strange house in the woods, by a lake, alone, at night.

Very relaxing. *whimper*

RIP. He was a dude who draw penises (Alien monster is a stylized cock) and made us love it. That is talent.
