CNN is reporting that Hunger Games assistant director Peter Rodger and his wife received a 140 page manifesto from their son and immediately tried to find him and stop him from carrying out his plan to kill people. The parents had previously called police about their 22 year old son Elliot Rodger, and police investigated, but did not take any action because they had not seen the YouTube videos that Elliot had made. I don't understand that part. They called the police because of the videos he posted, but the police never looked at the actual videos before determining nothing could be done?
After the couple received the manifesto they drove from LA to Santa Barbara but heard about the shootings on the radio as they were driving. Their son killed six people before killing himself and leaving 13 people injured.
