Brad Paisley Is A Great Guy

Brad Paisley showed what a great guy he was this weekend when he played a show in Kansas. For whatever reason, the Westboro Baptist church members decided they were going to show up with one of their usual crap protests and Brad took matters into his own hands. He took a selfie with members of the group and then when he posted it to Twitter called them west-burro(ass) and said he hoped he would be able to play extra loud so they would have to listen to his music all night.

Brad is a good guy. He's one of the few country singers that give us southerners a good name.

I really don't understand the WBBC at all though. They'll protest anything and everything as it's really fucking sick.

These westboro peeps are all about judgement and hate. Not very Christey at all.

If I didn't hate country music, I would totally buy his CD just for this.

The chick in the blue shirt needs to stop grinning ear-to-ear before her church members decide she's enjoying herself and start picketing her house.

Good for him. Don't let the haters stop you from doin' your thang.

LOVE that expression on his face.

I think that woman likes the fame a little too much!!! Why is she smiling? Isn't she there to be a hater?! Eeeek. These people terrify me!!

Yay to Brad though!!

Westboro loves the attention, they are famewhores, that's why she's smiling big.

Foo Fighters did it better

What is the point these crazies are trying to make half the time? Picketing soldiers, drunks, gays..Just a waste of time.

And I don't know what bible they read from but the one I read, while saying he was angry from time to time, never said anything about Hate.

Plot Twist: She is a huge BP fan and orchestrated this whole thing just to get a unique picture with her favorite sinner.

"her favorite sinner" ... OMFG

Love Brad Paisley--he has always seemed like a class act.

@Jsierra... You made me snort my coffee!

I like him too, nice to see he is okay with getting in there and gettin a little mud on the tires

I believe part of their gig is to try and piss people off enough to attack them so they can sue.

They give Christians and Democrats a bad name, that's for damn sure.

Brad Paisley is great on many levels.

BP and Katie Lee are making it more acceptable to admit you're from WV.

Orvilla Bedinbacher said...

Lol, that's awesome but I still don't like that accidental racist song.

I like how he is down to earth. Kudos!

TalksTooMuch said...

I was kinda surprised Enty didn't mention that song, Orvilla!

auntliddy said...

Ian- they are light years away from being christians or democrats!

Rose said...

I love his expression.

@Ian's Girl, you are spot on. That's how WBC makes their money: litigation. They hope to prompt someone to violence, then sue them.

Interesting article: Why the Westboro Baptist Church is a scam -- from 2006, so obvs. before Fred Phelps kicked the bucket.

Not at fan of country at all, but a new respect knowing he dislikes those assholes as much as I do.

Other than proclaiming to follow Christ, nothing about Westboro espouses any aspect of Christianity. I could call myself a car, but it doesn't make me a car anymore than what they claim to be.

This guy still gets side-eye from me for that weird racist song. And as someone else said, the Foos did this 20 million times better.

rocky619ca said...

Not a country music fan, but this dude went to the middle east and played for the troops.
Good guy.

Jessi said...

Ugh, I am not a fan of Brad's music so I am not familiar with this racist song. What the what? I'll have to look into that.

Zach said...

I've loved his wife since Father of the Bride!

What is this racist song you all speak of?

Tina Mallette said...

You summed it up Jacq, surprised God hasn't directed a tornado over to Westoboro

True story: I was in jail in the bible belt, one of the workers was a MARRIED crazy Christ screaming looney, who had been fucking her best friends husband for 10 years!!! Went to CHURCH every Sunday. The more Christ comes out a persons mouth, the less Christey they act.

I saw him interviewed a few times and watch him and Underwood host the CMA's. I find him funny and quite charming. I could get into country music if not for the fiddles. Fiddles make the hair on the b

good for Brad.

But my favorite slapdown on the idiots @ WBC still belongs to Lisa Lampanelli

I'm loving Brad's crazy eyes.

Democrats?

Odd that LL Cool J would be a part of that song. It's called Accidental Racist.

JoElla said...

Have you guys even seen "Accidental Racist"?

It's a pretty cool song, and I remember both of them getting a lot of shit from all sides.

Here is a YT video with lyrics. Worth checking out.

Love Brad! Very personable...

Sorry, Zach. Kimberly is a little uptight. She could just be shy or extremely hungry based on her sternum poking oot. But, I love Father of the Bride, like looove it. I get the vibe that she thinks she's above other country wives bc of her acting. They both are extremely philanthropic though.

I think Vince Gill went off on these idiots last year?

@Sillygurl
Was her name Pennsatucky?

cocokate said...

he's the guy with the racist song with ll cool j, right? not a great guy.

NaughtyNurse said...

OK, so cocokate, I just laughed out load when I looked at your name, because I thought it said "cockate."

Countess Eden said...

Off to google this song.

I'm a Christian and I think that these Westboro peeps will be in hell if they don't stop and repent this constant hate. FWIW, we aren't all judge mental and looney birds. If these crazies would spend more time READING the Bible instead of thumping it, theyd know that Jesus would never do this.

Countess Eden said...

Oh that song is TERRIBLE! Wth!

She should also learn proper spelling too.

If i could be invisible for a day, I'd love to take out a few WBC members. And Ann Coulter, and Beiber. I have a list.

KSierra said...

@Ray Nicolet, that's what I thought too....the Foo Fighters killed it with their little "performance" for WBC. If anyone wants to see it, it's called Keep it Clean. You really gotta see it!

Our kids go to school together and I can tell you, both he and Kim are class acts, down to earth people and their kids are amazing. Very hands on parents and are at school all the time. And I feel bad he got heat for that song because you don't go to our school if your racist. Its known for its diversity of ethnicity, religion and being open-minded. There are many private schools in Nashville that cost way more and are full of the wealthy, whitebread kids and they chose to go to this one. They are great people in my book.
