Kitchen Nightmares Ends Its Run

After ten seasons and 123 episodes that I feel are repeated continually Kitchen Nightmares is coming to an end. Gordon Ramsay announced yesterday that he is finishing up four last episodes and that will be it for the show. I remember before he started making ones for the US market that I had just got BBC America and I was enthralled with the show. I really loved it and found myself setting the DVR to make sure I got them all. I think the UK ones are the best, although his first US show, Dillons in NYC was really good and still gives me the heebie jeebies thinking about how disgusting that place was. Back in the first episodes of the US version the production was awful. There was always a white curtain in the restaurant because crews had begun the face lift and so the dining areas looked more like a set on a television show rather than an actual restaurant. My favorite episode is probably Soul Shack just because it is the only time I can remember where he actually liked the food and marketing was the issue.

I actually remember that Soul Shack episode! Love Gordon Ramsay, what was that one that everyone talks about on here?

Love this show.

There's the big difference between Enty and the rest of us--most of us wouldn't even dream of wasting time watching this and he lives for it.
Do the math: 10 seasons 123 episodes =12/season divided by 52 weeks a year equals lots and lots of repeats.

It was a good show, sandy. Sometimes. Plus Ramsay

Morning TTM. That other one is GoT's Ramsay Snow, The Bastard of Bolton. Gordon's got nothing on That guy.

Cant stand all the yelling.

I've never seen an episode of this show, so perhaps my unwavering love for Gordon Ramsey is because of it. (Well, that and the Amy's Baking Company epic). This man made me appreciate a medium rare steak.

I've watched a lot of the US ones & some of the UK ones. I love both but the UK version on netflix is better. They don't bleep anything.

Good morning TNC! I swear, I am gonna watch GoT if it kills me. Hopefully it will not

But apparently, if you donated enough money to one of George's favorite charities, he would name a character after you and kill them gruesomely in in his next book. Fun!

I confess I have watched this reality. Did NOT see the Amy's Bakery but whoo boy heard about it. Are those people out of business yet cuz they should be.

As a chef (home) I am shocked at the arrogance of some people who have zero ability to actually taste good from bad. Scary! And then the filthy restaurants with old food, ugh.

Truly some people needed yelling at. Still didn't help in some cases.

Amy's should NOT be. Damn. Makes a huge difference.

If you've watched one episode, you've seen 'em all, as far as I'm concerned. Gordon Ramsey is just a wanker Bourdain wannabe. Ta fuckin' ta.

Mango.NOBODY is as good as Anthony. Jeebus I love him.

My Mum adores Anthony Bourdain. I like Master Chef. He doesn't yell so much.

Too funny. I actually worked at Dillons part time and was on my last few weeks when they tried to get me to sign the film release. Thankfully I refused. Oh the stories about that place! Did serve drinks to some famous peeps there back in the day.

OMG! I thought I was nuts because I was so impressed by that episode with Soul Shack. That is what made me fall in love with Gordon Ramsey. He was so kind to that woman, and respectful because she was not a delusional know-it-all. I was touched by how she was so grateful for his help. A shining example of the good that TV can do.

Every US show that does a copy of a Canadian/UK/Dutch show is pretty much terrible.

It's funny that you're talking about this and Dillon's because after nearly 3.5 years of living abroad, i recently returned to the states. Never ever watched this show when I lived in the states or was away and just stumbled upon it last night and saw the Dillons episode. Although it's not that ironic since my last night was June 28th and this was written before. I'm just catching up because a homeless girl has to find a job and an apartment!
