Random Photos Part One - With Reader Photos

Six parts today.

Adam Sandler spent Father's Day in Toronto with his wife and kids.

Sheryl Crow in Chicago.
Alicia Silverstone in a rare pap photo. She was with her husband and son at a farmer's market yesterday.
Scout Willis wore clothes, but as bad as they look, it might have been better to just go topless again.

Yay, readers!! Just me, or does #2 look like Kate Beckinsale?

Woot! Adam Sandler was in Toronto, Derek, oooohhh! Sandlerstalk 2014?

PugsterMom said...

Lovely readers! Precious dog!

The Real Dragon said...

aren't those kids too big for a stroller?

sandybrook said...

Nice readers no Derek or Candyland again.

Scout looks horrid.
Sheryl looks loverly

TalksTooMuch said...

I sent mine in Sunday night before the first photos, not sure of date, Derek

ladybaus said...

Alicia and her man look GREASY as hell

Sugar said...

Hi Readers!

I know derek isn't in this bunch, he didn't even have to tell me.

Candyland however... Not feeling her here today....

Runswithscissors said...

Adam, a stroller for kids that old?!?! Isn't the purpose to walk them until they get tired and go to bed early?

Quite the mixed batch of readers photos! Fun to look at.

Jerry Seinfeld said...

Those two girls are the biggest kids I've ever seen in a stroller!
I wonder if they're still breastfeeding?

Violet said...

Dragon - those kids are 8 and 5. Judge away.

Karen said...

Readers all look beautiful!

ladybaus said...

walking is hard yall

Violet said...

..and I <3 reader no. 3

sandybrook said...

Come out come out wherever you are #4

Violet said...

i'm also just going to say, my 8 yr old would die a thousand deaths if I suggested to her I put her in a push chair in public.

Kristin Wigs said...

TTM totally feeling you on the Beckinsale thing.
Reader 1 looks like Jessica Alba. Gorgeous.
Reader 3 looks like my future ex husband. If I were to ever marry.

Kristin Wigs said...

Everyone is focused on the Sandler kids but not the Silverstone kid being wheeled in a caged grocery cart?

sandybrook said...

Uh that definitely is not me at #3 missy

Courtney said...

His kids are like 6 & 8 - that's ridiculous. I don't think mine were in one past 4 but generally once their in elementary school . . .they can walk just fine

ladybaus said...

@Krisitn lmao--true. I missed the kid---I was too focused on their greasy hair...

AJ said...

Hi Lovely Readers !!!
Love seeing your wonderful faces !!!

TalksTooMuch said...

Don't do it, Wigs! It's the end!

TalksTooMuch said...

Whoops, I mean just of the um, conjugal stuff. Lots of fun TV watching, though!

Bacon Ranch said...

Not so sure that's a stroller as much as a push cart for tired little feet while mom and dad make the rounds. Beats pulling them in a wagon :)

Great pictures! Love the pup #5!

NJ FireFighter said...

Awesome looking readers once again! And a sad commentary on marriage from our own lovely TTM! LOL

I don't comment much but I have to say that nothing ticks me off more that seeing a parent/parents with kids over 4 years of age in a FUCKING STROLLER! I don't have kids, but I was a nanny in NYC for 6 years.

Karen said...

Kristin, I had the same thought as you. The kid has a dog's name (Bear) and he's in cage. Makes sense.

TalksTooMuch said...

Whoops, sorry, sometimes I really truly talk too much, NJFF!

Seven of Eleven said...

@Wigs & @Karen, same here! I even blew it up because I thought maybe I was looking at it wrong! Does she keep the kid caged until bird feeding time?! Knock it off, Cher, it makes you look like a virgin who can't drive!

Hello, readers!

Krystie Rachelle said...

What's up readers! Reader number 3 you are extra rad, fess up.

FSP said...

Teehee

TalksTooMuch said...

For the stroller talk, my kids would never let me put them in a stroller anymore, and the oldest is still younger than either of those kids, but as a parent I understand wanting to put them in one. Or that cage. Then you know where they are! And you don't have to stop for quite as many ant-killings and the like.

NJ FireFighter said...

No worries @ttm - been there, done that so I understand.

Candyland said...

Hello lovely readers!

I love how Sandy and Sugar just aren't "feeling" any Candyland yet. You're both right, I ain't in there...but, it will be really interesting to see if you get a vibe when it's me! Ha!

Sherry said...

Wow...the Willis kids just don't photograph well do they?

I think Alicia's husband is kind of cute.

And of course all the readers look good. Damn, why didn't I think of hiding behind and animal? (Not like you need to #5!).

Unknown said...

Adam those kids are too big for a stroller, stop being lazy.

Sugar said...

Thought so, FSP.

califblondy said...

It's easier to push them than drag or chase them. This from the woman with an 11 and 9 year old in the shopping cart at Wal Mart last weekend. But in my defense when they were little I kicked them out of the stroller to make room for a big box of Carlos Santana boots.

Its just U said...

Another collection of stunners.

sandybrook said...

So FSP is #3?

sandybrook said...

I have to be careful with my guesses Candyland since I used one on Friday and only have 2 more to use.

surfer said...

There were two festivals happening in Toronto this weekend, so maybe Adam and family attended, and thought it would be easier to keep the kids close. What do I know.

Heh heh - I thought #3 might be FSP!

Krystie Rachelle said...

That's a smart sweater fsp, I like your style.

umop 3pisdn said...

My thoughts exactly!!!

Sugar said...

I know! All this buildup, I had better be ON TOP OF MY GAME when your pic shows up!
Your my age and are alone in the pic. Any other helpers you can give to ensure my success? Don't tell Sandy because I really want to win!

airhead said...

At lest they get to enjoy the comforts of a stroller Silverstone just threw hers in with groceries

Sugar said...

**You're**
sorry, couldn't let that go.

umop 3pisdn said...

Great reader photos...damn Enty distracting me w/ those Sandler kids, the only redeeming part of this set is the reader pics

Runswithscissors said...

I have an 8 and a 4 yr old and they run away from the sight of a stroller, but they know really well to stay near by, and the 8 yr old learns to be a bit more responsible and keep an eye the smaller one too.
I guess I care about the importance if communicating with kids and making sure they understand the importance of safety and being close by me.

I can see the stroller/pushcart as a safety measure if you are walking with more than two children, but this is just two.

I saw one time a guy try to snatch the smallest child from a large family (at a crowded amusement park) because the parents were too busy with the others, there were a total of 4 or 5 kids and just the mom and dad. It was pretty scary to witness. Dad reacted quickly fortunately.

Candyland said...

Sugar, et al...clue #3, I do NOT have black or red hair.

FingerBinger said...

Why is Adam Sandler pushing two adults in a stroller? That is ridiculous. I hope they all just did that for laughs.

Kelly said...

I agree that's just lazy and indulgent re the stroller for big kids. Ugh.
Hi lovely readers!

MadLyb said...

The reader photos are fabulous, as usual.

The stroller pics cracked me up. The Sadler kids look old enough to get a job already, and Alicia Silverstone's kid was simply thrown into a grocery pull basket.

Mama Abroad said...

Tha's me at #2 :)

TalksTooMuch said...

Yay Mama abroad! You look JUST like Kate Beckinsale! Do you get that a lot? And your girlchild is adorable!

M. Brown said...

I agree they are way too old but consider this. Kids in LA don't walk. They are walking around a city and can't deal with it. Maybe there's even no nanny so the parents can't handle it. Kids in NYC tend to be in strollers longer than the burbs b/c of the distances. A 4 yr old in Manhattan might be used to a stroller whereas my 4 yr old would never. But then again a yr or 2 later the NYC kids will be on a scooter. Sandler's kids are embarrassingly old regardless of geography.

PghGirl said...

Love reader #3 pic. You all look great!!!

Mama Abroad said...

The first time I heard it was the last time I sent a photo in here!

Meanie Rhysie said...

Hello lovely readers!!

Sincerely,Your Friend said...

Reader pics are fun and beautiful! Really amazing, and fun to see.

I gotta say, the kid in the push cart caught my eye, for sure, but in their defense I also know that kids often like to ride I. Anything they can and I have Benin happy to oblige them. HECK, I like to ride in carts when I can fit !

Sincerely,Your Friend said...

Argh. My typos. :-(

M. Brown said...

The kid in the push cart has bigger problems than being in a push cart. He's probably psyched not to be eating regurgitated kale out of his mother's mouth.

Unknown said...

Why don't they make "tired shopping parent" strollers for the kids to push that are easy to manuever.... Because there's been lots of days I wish I could've traded places with them!

Unknown said...

And I'm diggin' all of these gorgeous reader photos!!! :)

Sherry said...

LOL! Wendy Rene..You would become a billionaire if you made something like that.

Sherry said...

So FSP you're #3? That picture is awesome!
#1 has the most gorgeous skin..To die for!

StuffandNonsense said...

Great photos everyone!!!

TalksTooMuch said...

Stuffy, you didn't answer! Is that you in your new avi??

Anonymous said...

Readers all look great!!

Jessie said...

FSP your reader pic is always my favourite.

GspAD said...

Hi readers! You're all beautiful!
Sandlers kids look old enough to drive.

Unknown said...

My guys are 3.5 and 6. I haven't gotten rid of the single stroller because it could come in handy if I got it into my head to take them somewhere we had to walk miles. Strollers are also handy because you can pack their lunch into the basket.
Normally they would walk, bike or scooter though.
Strollers are all about containment when kids are young. Easier to keep them safe when they don't listen.

I don't understand why Bear Blue isn't riding on his dad's shoulders rather than in that easily collapsible basket.

Agree! When my kids were tired they would sleep anywhere! They didn't care if they were in a cart full of groceries or a wagon! It didn't bother me as long as they were comfortable... Way better than crying. At the end of a long day I wouldn't mind someone pushing me around:)

Erik said...

Hi readers and pooch!

Pretty Mama, cute young 'un. Thanks for sharing your fine self with us, @Mama Abroad.

Anonymous said...

Looking good Mama!

Reader #3 is a dead ringer for a terrific cashier at my local grocery store.

Lioness70 said...

My kids wanted nothing to do with the stroller by the time they were 2. Independent buggers, they were, and still are.

Nice pics, readers! I still need to get mine in.

PotPourri said...

Reader photo #3!!! Daymun, I LOVE that sense of humor!

PotPourri said...

Dear Adam Sandler...it's sad to stick teens in strollers.

Lila said...

Sorry, but those look to be 8 or 9, and way too old for a stroller.

The Real Dragon said...

@kristen I just noticed. I use to do that when my mom was grocery shopping

aemish said...

Day late and a dollar short on the stroller comments :p

That ain't right, Adam Sandler!

Leisa said...

just had to say....W T F with the stroller ? entitled much? wonder why they aren't embarrassed.

AndyCane said...

Totally knew that was your pic, FSP.

Alita said...

You reckon it's not Kate Beckinsale, @TTM? I figured it was a reader's kid with Beckinsale?

Alita said...

Seriously Mama Abroad? I'm serious when I said I thought the pic was Beckinsale. Really truly.

As a typically late in the day reader, that's also why I happily read through the mobile site threads so I can participate almost like it's in real time.

In conclusion: you so look like Kate Beckinsale there.

Alita said...

#4, if you delurk, can you please tell me what that thing in the background is? Perplexing!

Everyone looks great :)

Topper Madison said...

Are ya'll sure that Alicia didn't just buy that kid at a stall next to the organic asparagus?

Seeing kids over the age of 4 in a stroller bothers me as much as seeing dogs of any age in one.

And mine

BotoncitoRosa said...

Ohhh my photo is here, I'm the one with the scarf on the head!
Too bad this has been the worst week of my live, my father in law was hospitalized on Sunday evening after being ill for some time and was diagnosed with leukemia.
Our lives were turned upside down in a matter of hours :(

BotoncitoRosa said...

And thank you all for the comments, my skin is far from perfect, that is just the camera on my phone (no effect, it's just that bad). I wear blush and some compact powder on my nose and forehead but I've learned to live with my freckles and dark spots.
The hairdo was something different that I tried, although my husband said that he wouldn't go out with me like that and someone at work said that I was missing a pineapple in my head, but I loved getting out of my comfort zone.

TalksTooMuch said...

Well I think it looks gorgeous,BotoncitoRosa. Works so beautifully with your colouring.

I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL! All the best wishes for his recovery

AJ said...

@BotoncitoRosa
I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL. Sending positive & healing vibes your way to your family.
PS I rather love the scarf look. It makes you look exotic and quite beautiful.

BotoncitoRosa said...

Thank you so much @TalksTooMuch and @AJ for your nice words and good wishes, he is starting chemo today so we hope he can get better.
It's frustrating to not be able to do more to help and console my husband during these difficult moments.

Alita said...

BotoncitoRosa, thank you for outing yourself - you're indeed gorgeous! And the ensemble is working brilliantly in that snap! Just beautiful.

I've been through this with a family member - my heart goes out to you. In times of family grief though you do everything you can, but always want to do more because no matter what you do you can't fix it. But being there and making life serene in the background is worth a whole lot. I'm sure you're doing everything humanly possible. It's hard for everyone - stay strong!
