This A list celebrity/.reality star/mogul/just about everything else too is trying to make a deal to have his child(ren) 100% of the time by buying out his baby mama. He is getting tired of her complaining about his other woman, but wants to see his kid(s) so is making the deal. She might actually go for it.

I can't see giving him grief for wanting to see his kid. Simon may be a slug of sorts, but he genuinely seems to be into the baby Cowell, and for that, give pardon.
Simon only has one other woman?
if the baby mother is prepared to be bought out then she deserves not to have the child anyway.
She already gave up custody of her older child to be with Simon, so why not take money for the 2nd. I'm not impressed with either of them.
Simon is proof that a woman will accept your moobs, unpleasant personality and sour looks as long as you have enough money.

Isn't that all the woman wanted anyway? Loads of $$? She seems very calculated and greedy to me.

Yeah, no real mom could ever be "bought out". It's unthinkable.
He quite obviously knew she's not mother material and doesn't want someone like that raising his kid. I don't blame him. Too bad more responsible parents can't afford to buy out the parent who isn't really invested in the child's well being. Give her a check and send her on her way.

Madonna reportedly did this with the father of her first child, Lourdes, and it seems to have worked out OK for them. Lourdes spent time with her father, but I'm guessing he had zero paternal rights and was comfortably on Madonna's payroll.
Michael Jackson also did this with all three of his children. It doesn't work out well if you're unlucky enough to die when the kids are minors. As I understand it, Paris has chosen to see Debbie Rowe, while Prince has rejected her entirely. It's never been disclosed who was the mother of Blanket, his third child, but as Blanket gets older it looks more and more possible that Michael was his biological father.

I want to celebrate my double hitter but this makes me so sad for the baby. On the other hand, who's to say he'd be a worse parent than the woman who already gave up one child for money?

@NuttyF it was my understanding that Carlos Leon wouldn't sign over rights to Lola for $ even though asked when he split with Madonna, which is why she ended up staying friendly with him and respects him today. He's always had visitation rights.
I believe he took (or still takes) a small stipend, in order to live in NYC to be near his daughter and care for her. I think he recently remarried.
@Pookie, you could be right about that. Leon was certainly involved in her upbringing, which I think is a good thing.
Debbie Rowe supposedly never wanted to be involved in her kids' upbringing - Michael took Paris from the hospital so quickly after birth that she was still covered in placenta! - but was pressed into service after Michael's death. Anyway, I guess this was in the days before donor eggs, because both Prince and Paris look a lot like her.
