Worse still are the folks who find gossip fine as long as it's not gay related. It's pretty funny to see people become suddenly concerned with privacy issues when the topic of homosexuality arises. Those rascally gays should stay in the closet where they belong!

No. It's just that being gay isn't a thing to me. It's not salacious or gossipy. It's no big deal. Next.
Being gay is one thing but telling your family is another because most parents still have expectations of a traditional marriage with kids. So in one way she is killing their dreams of that. The pressure to tell the family is enormous because they're afraid they are going to get shunned from everyone. .
I think it's a bit of a catch 22 for people to be okay with, for example, reading gossip about an actor cheating on their spouse and knocking some waitress but then not being okay with speculation of one's sexuality. What makes one situation more likely to be shunned by others then the other situation? Both are private, if either scenario were meant to be public knowledge there would be no need for sites such as these
Hope this is FINALLY Queen Latifah. It's just so painful to watch her stay in the closet like this. It sends such a horrible message. I am sure she has a Baptist Mom or Grandma she's trying not to let down, but still. Be yourself Dana!
@whatzmyname is right. it is a gossip site, but gossip is generally salacious. there are no blind items that say, "this actress has not told her family that she has sex with men."
