This B list mostly television actress has been in three straight television hits. Two different networks and a cable network. Apparently she is also ashamed of her past. At an event recently a star of a hugely popular cable reality show that has been on forever tried to talk to the actress, but she blew him off and said she didn't know him. Umm, well he is the guy who took her virginity way back in the day and they dated for a year, so I'm guessing she does know him, but likes to pretend she is above her past now.

Network shows are the shows on channels that show the local news. I'm not sure what the equivalent is to channels in the UK.

If she has had three straight hits on TV, and is now a bona fide actress, by definition she has moved beyond her past.

Omg I tried watching Gracepoint last night. I thought it was terrible! Everyone's acting was awful! Anna isn't very good in it at all. I really wanted to like it too. I erased all of them on my DVR After watching 30 minutes of the pilot.

JLD's father is a billionaire, her stepfather is very accomplished in his own right, she comes from a close family without scandals, she attended some of the best schools in the country, she's been married to her husband who adores her for a zillion years, her kids seem normal and you never hear about them being in trouble, she wins awards for everything she does--no way this is her.

I've been in social situations where I didn't want my date to know that I slept with some of the women in attendance. Don't ask, don't tell. Maybe she didn't want the paparazzi to catch wind of their prior relationship and make things uncomfortable.
I've run into to people I've slept with where I worked and didn't want to acknowledge those 2 parts of my life had intersected. It's not that I was ashamed (well, maybe I was), but it was a different place and a different vibe. I think everyone is susceptible to that. It's not unique.
