She might be listed as the co-host of the biggest fashion event of the season, but at this point our A list mostly movie actress is not planning on attending. If she doesn't go, her designer doesn't have a backup plan.

She might not want to stomp on Anna Wintour's foot that way. She may find herself buying off rack instead of getting freebies.

Most of her dresses have been wearing her and plug ugly so I'd say no harm no foul.
She always overcomes the fail because she is so darling but why waste the opportunity to wear something appropriate and nice.

Paltrow skipped the Met Gala last year and has stated pretty openly she won't be going any time soon. The last time she went was when Wintour invited the insufferable West/Kartrashian publicity train to attend for the first time and GP ended up making a comment in an interview about how it isn't fun anymore and referenced Anna opening up the guest list to stunt invites. Didn't come right out and say she didn't want to mingle with the trash, but you know, with Paltrow, it is implied. In this case, I don't blame her. I wouldn't want to have to be in the same room with a Kartrashian either.
Just Rob. I want those secrets! Not that we probably don't already know them anyway, but I'm curious who the actual dead bodies are in PMK's mausoleum. I am also quite proud of myself for spelling that word correctly on the first try. :)
