This Academy Award winning actress thought she could live where she wanted and do what she wanted and that people would still come calling her. They probably would have but she has not been around to stop the bad mouthing of an ex who trashes her at every opportunity. This led to other women being cast for parts which would have gone to her. Her agent said she needed to start putting herself back in the public eye in a big way and even told her to dump the boring boyfriend and find someone for a little publicity. She hasn't officially dumped the boyfriend, but she hasn't been keeping him close either.

Hmmm....I have not desire to ever see Hilary Swank in a movie again. I think she is done. Although I can see her in a tv drama or something.
Is the ex supposed to be her druggie ex hubs tv actor? No way does he have that kind of power. She must of dated someone after him that actually has some power in the industry.
When Clint doesn't use her, she choses crap movies that bomb is her issue. She needs a better agent.
her ex is chad lowe, brother of rob, so pretty well connected. She cheated on him after he supported her and her career .
So who's talking the agent she was with or the ex- husband…?
Her ex is Rob Lowe's brother though, so I imagine he has the ear of at least a few people. Also, she left him when he was already sober and she was cheating on him with her married agent.
Exactly!! While Chad is not a big star , he knows a lot of people in the industry since he has been acting since he was a kid. She dumped him for her married agent and he has been trashing her since then
Its called karma, Hillary. If I had supported my ex and his career, got clean and sober and then found out that he had been having an affair I would tend to badmouth too.
The ex bad mouthing her isn't Chad(he is a veteran of the biz but doesn't yield any casting power or influence etc)and I don't think he'd do it if he could; it's John Campisi the power agent(her ex agent and BF of 5 years) who was blacklisting her. He was married with a kid when they began the affair, so yeah- what goes around eh hillary?

I recall hearing that after the split- and I also remember thinking- why would one ever sleep with their agent/ business representative?It's already such an unforgiving industry- especially on women. It's like a drug dealer befriending a narc or a Fed...It's just not going to end well lol.

Haha, true and she has used the casting couch to her advantage too...and people are afraid of her as an AMERICAN CITIZEN!!! Whooboy, she is a little crazy to be sure.
