Blind Item #1

This best selling author who has an ego that continues to grow daily by leaps and bounds is getting even worse than she used to be and people are starting to talk. There was already the secret payout a movie studio had to make to keep a writer from suing for assault. Something to do with a chair being tossed at the writer and cutting her face. During filming of a movie based on one of her books she demanded that roses be replaced in her trailer every four hours. She would go into hysterical screaming rages if food was not cooked right or if someone did not get out of her way fast enough. No one who has ever met her wants to be with her any longer than they have to.

I hope they cast EL James as Ana Steele. LOL! That will be the comedy of the century. Or Sharknado. She'll be one of the sharks. Disgusting author.

I didn't read the book , or see the movie, just know of her for obvious reasons! But she seems really - unpleasant . Yes sharknado 3 needs to put a call in to her people:)

I saw she was desperate to get an invite to the Met Gala and it's not happening.

You'd think someone like EL James wouldn't mind being assaulted. In fairnesd, I would like to assault her for unleashing such literary dreck upon us all.

Marc, get in line. There are probably a million people lined up all ready to flog her

I don't have a lot of respect for EL James -- 50 Shades of Grey is, after all, a terrible alternate-universe fanfic of a dreadful series of very bad Young Adult novels -- but I find it interesting how the studios are trying to poison public opinion against her, leaking stories to various outlets to discredit her, in hopes of prying the property from her control.

Hollywood just can't stand a writer who safeguards his or her own work and own vision, and won't be bullied into surrendering it to the corporate machine.

It's perfectly possible that Erika Mitchell (the real name of "E. L. James") is as dreadful and ill-behaved as these stories claim.

But it's at least as possible that she's being smeared in an attempt to wrest her creation away from her. I frankly hope she sticks by her guns.

A writer is being a diva?! LMAO!!!! Some one should clue her in that writers are the least important people on a production set. Especially a book writer.

I agree. I think it is instructive the way that first the director, then the writer and most recently the male lead have all allegedly resigned from working on the follow up. Personally, they should never have signed Sam Taylor Johnson as director - she may be OK for commercials and romantic B movies but not for something that seeks an erotic response from the audience. As for Dakota J she is just too wet to be the female lead. Jamie D looks good enough but does not have the horn factor!

Anybody else think this lady is pathetic? She is a full grown, middle-aged woman who wrote Twilight fanfic and turned it into this piece of work. Why do older women eat this stuff up even though it's basically Young Adult fiction? I heard somebody call it Mommy Porn and I couldn't think of a better term. It's like she is writing down her desperate fantasies and turned a profit from it. She's overweight and unattractive - I have to laugh, and yea, I feel a little bad about it. I feel bad for her husband the most. Good thing she's got the money money now. He will never leave you gal! Though he might have to turn out the lights when you guys get it on.

YES! Want more literary blinds here!

This has to be EL James! Every interview I've seen her do,she comes across as a total bitch! I refused to read the books or see the movie..I did peek into one of the books and from what I saw..it sucked ass! There are a ton of erotic books/writers/authors that are waaaay better than her and the BS she put out. The only reason her books made it big,is because it was Twilight fan fic first.

Yes, it's shocking that Taylor Swift hasn't been subjected to a similar smear campaign, actually.

Don't know about the assault claims, but there is no one in Hollywood that wouldnt confirm that James is a nightmare. They just say things like "she's extremely passionate about her work" lol

I think the implication is the book-writer (EL James, presumably) threw a chair at a script-writer for the movie. The script-writer is presumably a normal person who doesn't like pain.

And honestly, if you know anything about BDSM, the pain is delivered by someone who is control of themselves and only doing what they have their partner's permission to do. It's completely different to having some random psycho throw a chair at you when you're at work.

The fact that the writer didn't do any promotion or go to any of the premieres is quite telling, I think. This is definitely EL James. She's known for being horrid to work with, and has a massive ego, so it all fits.

The 50 Shades author is obnoxious. The director even said it was difficult working with her.

Can we all just agree to not have any more sequels. Just kill that stupid franchise of a movie and let fsog die.

It made a lot of money. There will be sequels.
