This foreign born B- list mostly movie actress who is a very recent Academy Award winner/nominee and presenter yesterday is being accused of lightening her skin. She is. Apparently the company behind her biggest endorsement deal asked her if she would and she agreed.

There is no way in bell that's true. If you said it about Beyoncé I'd believe it but not Lupita there's no way her family would stand for it.

Her family? When it comes to fame people will do anything. Don't underestimate anyone. Skin lightening is a big problem in the black community.
Tea has been in the business longer.

So? She's been longer in the business than the likes of JLaw and tons of other celebs. That doesn't mean she's their lever/higher. It ain't mean shit.

So what? There’s plenty of C-listers some of them even talented that are in the business for more than 30 years and will always be C listers. But Enty has really this ranking thing all fucked up. Talent and peer recognition doesn’t count fear him, just how much they are talked about in Star magazine and National Enquirer. All this jungle of reality stars, DWTS, Housewives, etc etc for him are A listers when in the industry they are nothing, nor even the Kastrashians count. I hate when he gives B or B- to talented and respected actors just because they’re not mainstream or franchise or don’t have an Oscar (and that’s another list that doesn’t count that much: i.e. all the great talent that never got one)
Beyonce did it too. But if someone flashed that kind of cash in my face I would dye my skin purple and drop to my knees.
Not just the black community but in.communities of colour. It's a global problem. If it's Lupita it's surprising but wouldn't put anything past celebrities. They will do all sorts

It's not a single list; it's various lists for various oeuvres.
The Whoretrashians are A+ in "Trashy behavior reality" because they are essentially the essence of that genre. Tea Leoni is B+ in scripted television because she's been the lead in multiple network series, one of which survived for several seasons and another which is on right now. (The long marriage to A-list Duchovny didn't hurt, either.) Whereas Lupita got her Oscar and for now seems mostly on her way to becoming the next Gabby Siddibe; one famous role and out. B- might be harsh, but not unduly.
That's not to say Enty can't fuck up the listings, but I have no specific problems with the examples you cite. JMO.
Nope. This one is completely wrong. She is the same shade as she was and that isn't going to change. Im not sure why, but i feel like people are trying to make her a villain for some reason. Guess that happens when you don't try to play the never ending "look at me,look at me game." Im calling total bullshit on this one. Sounds like that hater she had a while back who she blasted about whiteners in her Essence speech is responsible for this one. Lupita is comfortable with who she is and proudly dark i just don't see her selling her soul for money. This just screams a blind based in jealousy and hate towards Lupita.
They want this girl to bleach so bad. They can't stand seeing a woman like Lupita getting all of this attention. It looks like they got this info from Sandra Rose's crusty ass.
She became a star just as she is, why would she change and end up blending in the with the other crowds. She stands out. This site has been going downhill for years now.
I saw her new mag covers and she's still dark. They use lightening on every one. Try again.
God forbid someone touch lupita in rumors. People lose their shit. You guys realize she is still a celebrity, right? Meaning she lies, she makes things look a different way than they really are and tells you what you want to hear?
