This supposed PR relationship between two Academy Award winners/nominees is actually real. They don't publicize it or flaunt it and go to great lengths to have people think it is just a PR stunt. He is an actor in a very high profile role right now and has a really successful side project. She acts and does some modeling. He has gone the public relationship route before and hates it. She had a drug dealer boyfriend she hid. Apparently the couple is engaged and a secret wedding is something they would love to pull off.

Doubt it's Leto and Lupita. Though it does sound like them I have to admit. Leto's pushing 45. Who knows, maybe he has always wanted to be a paterfamilias.
It's def Leto. He is playing Marilyn Manson on the set ofbsuicide squad right now. It's weird tho, that lupita thinks the only problem with Jared is that he is all PRy about his life and not the fact that he sleeps with anything that walks
any girl who thinks jared leto wants to commit to one set of boobs for life is a fool.

Oh, if it's Leto and Lupita then great for them. Of course I can count on someone to crawl from under a rock and insult both of them. There is a very clear (racist) agenda some people push when it comes to high profile interracial relationships. Perfect example: R Pattinson and FKA. You would think it wouldn't be such an issue but it is for some close minded individuals. Just accept the fact that if this is true then it's because she is a total catch and he is quirky but talented person. People love to use his past against him ever since he's been linked to her. Funny how it doesn't come up when he's connected to a Caucasian woman.
I just pray they procreate because can you imagine the beautiful baby that would result?
Drea, I've noticed that people only seem to be bothered by his "past" when he's connected to Lupita as well. Not sure whether it's a hidden agenda or whether people think she's too good for him because she graduated from Yale and is the daughter of a politician. Don't know whether I believe this blind but it would be interesting to see.
I'm inclined to believe it's the latter. Seeing racism around every single corner is an interesting way of going through life, though...
Well her being "too good for him" is solely her decision. I was stating my opinion just based on how high profile women of color are treated in the media and by trolls when they are linked to high profile Caucasian men. And we can see Lupita is infallible. Educated, Elegant and Talented but being linked to him she is vilified and people want to knock her down pegs. And we all saw article after article making Jared to be a sleazy scumbag who sleeps with everything walking when he was linked to her. Not one article posted about his past or perceived notions about him were written when the media tried to link him to Miley, Taylor, or even Katy Perry. Racism isn't perceived if it's actually occurring.

Drea, I have noticed that when it comes to Lupita, people only act concerned about her well being when she's linked to Jared. People really don't have anything to say about her as an actress but let, and this is an example, People magazine report that the two of them had dinner somewhere and suddenly everyone comes out of the woodwork claiming that "she deserves better". And no, people don't make those statements when he's linked to Caucasian women, so you're definitely right about that. Ask leto's fans about the two of them and they will casually mention that they "like Lupita but she isn't his type" & we all know what that means considering they have no qualms shipping him with Cameron Diaz, Emilia Clarke, ScarJo, and now it seems Margot Robbie. Not to mention Colin Farrell as well.
I do, however, have a hard time believing that Leto would keep a relationship with someone he really likes a secret from the public. It's not that deep, unless he's concerned about a certain portion of his fanbase that seems to be providing the majority of his cash flow.
Tonia, during her linkage to Jared; Lupita have received alot of racial slurs and death threats. So this might be her call to keep things private. Also, no pictures were allowed during their dinner time in different restaurants so people were given autographs in return. She's protected now.
Macy, when did they meet up for dinner? I e heard about this, but found nothing substantial.
I get it that Lupita and Jared created a huge furore during the 2014 Oscar awards. But I'm kinda conflicted.
So I'm feeling that this BI smacks insults at Lupita. Jared's been hankering after anorexic and "young" Eastern European models for sometime now, and we're expected to believe that this "midlife crisis" "childish" hippie suddenly has changed his "prototype" to a classy, intelligent, cultured and multi-talented mature woman in the guise of the lovely Lupita Nyong'o. And furthermore, he's only, recently been caught out sending leaked pictures of his Joker character to a young Russian model via taptalk (although media sources would have us believe it was Snapchat)? I for one, refuse to believe that Lupita would allow herself to be hoodwinked by such an ageing HW actor. And furthermore his friendship with Terry Richardson rubs me up the wrong way.

The models are apart of PR and the "i'm single" image for Jared. However, I do agree that she's too good for Jared, but if her boyfriend was a drug dealer, then maybe she likes men that are considered beneath her. If this is about them, I wish them happiness.
I think Macy meant that she's ok from crazy people who were making threats and slurs at her.
Tonia, I think they met up during the awards season this year (around the time that she was shooting for Lucky magazine at Stahl House). I'm pretty certain that they hung out together and beside being seen at Joan's in LA (check twitter, a poster tweeted about them); she toured Jared's new home too - hopefully she gave him some interior design advice lol
Basifemme, I agree with your POV and I completely understand where you're coming from. His "midlife crisis" is crazy obvious, but somehow I feel that the presence of these young (but legal) models is only to a temporary fix. I find myself getting frustrated with the company he keeps (Richardson). It's strange to me how he can go from talking about the importance of social media platforms, commerce, the connections between art and the real world, his humanitarian efforts, to hanging out with models who don't appear to do anything except travel nonstop and post "meaningful" quotes on Instagram. I don't bother trying to understand him anymore because he's a walking contradiction, if I'm honest. I don't think he's a bad guy at all, I actually think he's sensitive despite how he appears, but there's something very tragic about him and I think it stems from his childhood. I find myself feeling sorry for him more than anything.
The two of them, while they photograph beautifully together, do appear as opposites on the surface. But who knows. It's especially hard to tell, given that Ms. Nyong'o seems to refuse to open up and is a bit repetitive in her interviews. It makes one wonder what her personality is really like when she's not twirling on the red carpet. I really adore her, but she's more frustrating than Leto, if I must.
I think one has to realise that like Jared, Lupita and her family suffered trauma during her childhood - her father's political asylum years in the Americas (Mexico and the US), and the house arrest and gruelling conditions that the family faced when they lived in Kenya. With regards to her repetitive answers in interviews, I wish those interviewing her would buy a clue, she obviously does not wish to speak about her personal life - look how long it took for her to officially announce to the world, that she was dating K'naan and, this, was only a tiny blurb in that Vogue edition. I'm assuming character/personality wise, Lupita's engaging to those she's close to; conservative in mannerism but also seems to have a vibe that attracts both sexes to her. I remember when I first saw pics of her and Jared together, I, too, thought what an odd mix. On paper, she's a "good girl" with no drama stories, as yet, and there's Jared - been around the block, ageing rockstar, hipster, outrageous flirt, with a trawl of anorexic looking models hanging on to him, lol
And then I'm reminded of pre-Oscar Lupita - humanitarian, hippie wannabe with pierced lips and Mohican hairstyled; and who dated the hippie and dread lock Scottish/South African, MTV Africa Creative Director - I guess she does have a type after all. This is going to be interesting to watch, for sure.
I guess they have more in common than it appears.
I should clarify though, that I don't expect her to talk about her personal life, or relationship status I should say. But it wouldn't hurt her to talk about ordinary things, I suppose. I always feel like her interviews are very scripted. Sometimes I get the impression that she wouldn't even want to talk about the kind of lipstick she prefers if it weren't for her Lancome deal. I just hope she eases up sooner rather than later, as I would hate to see her be replaced by other, more outgoing, passionate actresses who don't mind talking about what they like to do on their days off.
But back to the subject at hand...
