Grammy Awards
This actually occurred at a pre-Grammy Awards party. This B list celebrity/producer/host might have said the right things about this B+ list actress/comedienne/host, but it does not mean any of the things said were true. They blew each other off all night and the B+ lister said some not very nice things.

Good for Melissa. With 20/20 hindsight, it appears to me now that Kathy tried to used a fake relationship to Joan to her advantage.
Truly disappointed in Kathy Griffin. Joan Rivers held KG in a higher regard - and it's truly heartbreaking how she handled things w/ Melissa and the show. Anyone who has ever watched Joan's documentary or has met her at any point in their life will tell you Joan was a giver. She helped Kathy Griffin so much. To turn around and handle the show and departure so poorly is mind boggling. I don't care if it's "business." She dragged a legacy through the mud - and for that - KG is disgusting.

joan didnt stifle and try to keep down any female comedian like how the BOYS did to each other.
Um... I'm no expert or insider, but people are fooling themselves if they think that "Poor Melissa" did nothing wrong. She has 3 "Producer" credits - all of which are from Joan. She rushed Fashion Police back on the air with the wrong cast and it blew up. Of course KG jumped at the chance to make bank! So did G and the Ozzy Troll! George was the only one to say no thank you, let Joan RIP.
Melissa is a parasite. And the host has died.
Kathy Griffin has a career she made off of her own name.

Before Joan was canonized, she was a human-being who was not always funny and could be a bully at times. She had a habit of expecting others to be able to "take a joke," while having absolutely no humor regarding her no-talent daughter.
I could never understand why that Fashion Police gig was so coveted after Joan passed. I think KG just made a bad career choice and when she begged for and got the gig saw what a clusterfuck that show was and that Joan was only reason it existed. When the shit started flying she bailed.
I'm not sure what Kathy Griffin did to Melissa or to Joan's "legacy" for that matter. The job was open, Griffin took it. The show didn't work without Joan so it ended. I heard more fuckery from the odious Kelly and Ghouliana than I did from Kathy.
Melissa's just bitter. It was her mother's show, it only really works with her in it. Someone will re-tool it and re-do it but it's not going to be Melissa "nepotism is my middle name" Rivers.

What Legacy? We're talking about the Fashion Police here. Joan's legacy is her humor.
Kathy Griffin is an ugly troll. There is not enough plastic surgery in the world to make her even remotely attractive.
