I love him so, so very much. Joel Grey is an elegant, gifted man and I adore him forever.
I don't think this kind of arrangement was unusual, unfortunately. Gay people simply did not raise children - unless they were Bruce Wayne. (He is Jennifer Grey's father, if you've never seen anything of his)
