This A+ list leading man had a little secret when he was appearing in a period picture where he was usually cast as a man in tights (including the movie he’s best remembered for nowadays)… he usually wore a jockstrap which made his already large private parts seem enormous. During the making of one of his later swashbucklers, the costume fitters had to re-sew his tights again and again because the jockstrap kept ripping them.
