That son became famous in his own right and he took the secret that both his parents were gay to the grave.

Kelly, Mary Martin's son was Larry Hagman. He was quite famous as Major Healy in "I Dream of Jeannie" and as JR Ewing on Dallas.

Mary Martin as a guess doesn't fit well with the BI. She was married twice. With the first husband she was married to for 6 years had Larry, but not with the second husband she was married to for 33 years (she had a daughter with him). IMO, she doesn't really fit: "long-term husband and son".
