This A list designer from a brand everyone wears couldn't get any top celebrities to appear at her show. She also got ticked off at reporters asking her questions about everything other than her designs and walked off and threw a water bottle when out of sight, but not out of hearing of the reporters.

J Crew in Canada is incredibly expensive, so I do not wear it. We have Club Monaco and that is much better...
No, not everyone wears J Crew. Vanilla enough to seem universal. I prefer Theory, Hugo Boss and the like.
I only find clothes that fit me at a big and tall store (usually online), So, I have no idea who this is.
Had to google her. She left her husband for a lesbian jewelry designer, who she then started doing interviews and photo shots with. WTF did she think would happen?!
15 years ago J Crew was the major brand. They are basic and ridiculously over priced now.

Everyone needs a few basic pieces in their wardrobe.
Exactly the right word - basic. Everyone does need some good basics but it's hardly the epitome of design.
