1direction. every single one of them. they all may not be gay but i don't think any of them are straight. regardless, they need to be able to be themselves. people of all ages love them. many/most people suspect. the longtime damage being done by the powers that be is far worse than being out could ever be. also, i think you're very wrong about waiting a decade til we hear from them again. watching how it all plays out is very interesting. been watching it for 3 years now. not just as a fan, but as a 50-something professional person baffled by how they've been portrayed/treated.

From what i understand from British gossip sites, 3 are gay, 1 is a junkie and the other an asshole. Signed a 360 deal with cowell that made them some money for working their asses off and are now bitching about it. If it wasn't for the bearding p.r. and millions spent on promotion they wouldn't have gotten anywhere. They come across as ungrateful brats with a unrealistic estimation of their worth outside the machine.

randomly created.. i'm not convinced of that. by the time they got to that point in the competition, a couple weeks for tv viewers but much longer in real life. they'd been observed for a long while. months? to find the perfect match. it wasn't an overnight decision... it was carefully orchestrated. the leaked sony documents support that. i believe sexuality would have been assumed/determined at that point. if not asked about. i know here in the us it's against the law to ask about sexuality...but there are reality shows like Big Brother and Survivor and The Amazing Race who make a big deal of their lgbtq contestants. somebody had to ask at some point. so i don't think the same rules apply here as in the 'real world'. it's not outside the realm of possibility. but not necessarily gay. niall i see nothing. they did a good job on giving him absolutely no personality...no sexuality... no scandals...nothing. it's interesting to watch.so much pr bs to keep certain groups of the fans engaged. i, for one, am looking forward to seeing who they actually are when all the confines of their contract with their current people ends and they're free-ish.
They actually far from come across as 'ungrateful brats'. They've worked super hard for everything they have, endlessly touring, putting out product almost 9-5 in compliance, yes, that, with their iron-cast contracts.
3 are gay? Well, certainly one is, more than likely 2 and perhaps even more. But the fact is they are contracted to image regulations and as such have had to beard in the same way Justin, Selena, Jonas Bros have all had to strut around looking interested in people they're probably not. It's how you create hype and cash. It will be in the contract.
It's no coincidence Dec is the time they always seem to heavily beard. Harry seems to be having a break from that shit this year and Louis and NIall are taking the strain.
