2. "has had more sex with his ex" (this is obviously talking about a man having sex with his ex)
3. "than she has with her boyfriend" (the ex of the man in #2 is not having sex with her current boyfriend?)

Me too and I just got here. It didn't need that first "ex" in there, that's what confused it. This is clear:
