This foreign born one album wonder (so far) says that being friends with this A+ list singer dominates her life. She says it is like being in a cult and that you can go from no contact to being with her 24/7 and that you always have to be on call and ready. She says she cut short a vacation just to spend 18 hours with the singer who then sent her back on her way.

Lorde's friendship with Taylor is keeping her in the public eye. She put out a great album with a megahit, but others, especially from way out in New Zealand have been forgotten. Her album is what, three years old, and she's still gets papped at Paris fashion week and the Met gala and once a month or so with Tay. Her next album will get tons of attention because people still remember her. I think Lorde has learned a lot from Taylor - fashion, fitness and publicity wise, and she's smart enough to take advantage of it yet keep her own personality.
And I repeat, what an exhausting self-absorbed twit Swifty is. Lorde should tell her to eff off. I don't understand why these heifers hang with her.

Lorde didn't have to do anything, she could have stayed on vacation, but she doesn't want to burn the Taylor Connection, so she should stop complaining.
Taylor writes her own music, and throws out catchy pop hooks like they were nothing. She is slowly evolving - no country songs on this album, she worked out and changed the shape of her body so she's not a stick figure anymore. She's also started doing her makeup in a more mature way. I think her next album will be a bit more edgy and alternative, although not so much as to drive away the teeny boppers.
