Today's Blind Items - Quiet Destruction
In the decade of writing this site, I think I may have mentioned these two celebrities once or twice. Maybe. They have definitely never been a blind. Everyone on the outside looking in thinks they are super nice and fun and a joy. Nope. It is the complete opposite. It is one of those times that what you see on television is nothing like reality. That mild mannered pleasant thing they shoot for on television is just a show. In reality, they are money driven, do anything to get ahead and will ruin you if you cross them. They use their television power to make deals which are rarely fair to the other party and when they are called out on it, they do their best to ruin the other person. Here is how their little game works. They hear about a deal or someone comes to them with a deal. They lowball and lowball. If they get the deal, great. If they don't get the deal, they wait. They bide their time until the person tries to make another deal and they strike. The two celebrities come in and drive everyone else out. When the others are gone, our celebrities then bail out leaving the person with nothing except a bunch of fees and the knowledge if they try to do it again, the celebrities will be there once again. Invariably, the person comes back to the celebrities who then cut a deal even worse than their first offer. They have done this countless times but everyone is too scared to stand up to their bullying tactics.

It could also be the nicer 2 on Shark Tank- Robert Herjavec and Lori Greiner(Barbara Corcoran seems tough). I thought of ST straigh away-but thought it was a duo situation. Maybe they work together behind the scenes?

This sounds like those reality tv folks, something like HGTV.
Rehab Addict is where I live, and she is a nasty little piece of work. Been in trouble with the city multiple times.

i can't figure it out. tried to make it those creepy twins on HGTV and maybe 2 people on 'shark tank' but it just doesn't sound right.

I was thinking Shark Tank too but I thought they meant that the 2 celebs were a couple/team that's why i thought Mark Burnett since he's the creator & executive producer of Shark Tank...reading comprehension is my friend.

@Marlin I watched it once or twice and actually enjoyed it(and them) in particular and thought the clue "mild mannered thing they shoot for" referenced their demeanors on air...but ?? Could be an HGTC couple(never watched any of them).

Definitely sounds real estate or design/decor driven.
I think maybe them, because being nice is part of their show. Some of the others don't even try to pretend to be nice

I liked her for quite a while. Followed her on Facebook and she started to come off as really unpleasant. Someone wrote something negative and she reposted it so that her fans would harass the offending person- and they did. I think she's starting a cult.

I agree. Neither seem very pleasant to me but their fans adore them.

I thought of the Property Brothers, but one of them was in the news about raising a stink at a bar at closing time? I think that Enty would not have made the point about never writing about them since this was fairly recent. Also, I would not be surprised if there has been a blind or two about them. I like the Chip and Joanna guess (although I had to look up their names), since they really do emphasize their niceness. I dunno, though..maybe someone better known? This blind has me intrigued and I'm not even sure why.
This is the only couple on TV that I can think of that comes off as the cutest, funniest, coziest couple ever. (I would be so disappointed if that's all an act.)
Dial back on the coffee, a$$, and get a sense of humor.
@Kno Dax and Kristen were my first thought too. Those commercials. No Hollywood types would fall for that crap so it must be corporate or advertising types
I thought it was suuuuuper shady that she partnered with, of all companies, Quicken Loans when she was working in Detroit. From what I've read, they are just greeeeaaat for the community.
I'm gonna change my guess to one of the hgtv shows, prob chip and Joanna Gaines like some others guessed. I really like shark tank and the dynamics of all the hosts and don't want to ruin the show for myself lol. Can't stand the hgtv shows so that it is.
I'm thinking them too. Chip & Joanna Gaines came to mind but they operate in a relatively small town environment & I don't think they could get away with it the way someone in Orange County, Cali could.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler? No idea if they're nice or cut throat, but seem funny and approachable and very successful.
