I read on the internet that David Miscabbage (spelling) had completed Scio's "campus" out near Riverside, CA. And a contractor refused to continue to work on it when he realized that he was building jail cells that Miscabbage had called "dormitories."
I guess locking people up until they completely agree with you is what Scio is all about.
As for the departures, I would guess the celebrities finally realized that their return on their investment into Scio wasn't paying them full dividends.
