You will notice all of the familiar daily posters are gone today. My guess years ago that 99.9% of them are the same people with different names and are of the same religious persuasion has proven true! All Enty's friends are in Shul today fasting. This leaves two of us to post all day.
Maybe I'm just missing something, but when did Kate Moss ever say she was sober? And when did anyone ever believe her?

Wasn't she a IV heroin addict before? In all seriousness, if she's kicked the dope habit, good for her. Now I know coke is a completely different demon, but at least coke isn't being cut with elephant tranquilizer like heroin is here, (western pa) killing people by the dozens.

Yes it is... I've struggled with opiate addiction off and on since I was 20. I'll be 36 in March. I've tried it all: abstinence, Suboxone, methadone, when I was 21 and didn't know any better, my parents shipped me off to Oklahoma to Narconon. AKA scientology... I was coming off a huge heroin and Xanax habit and they gave me fucking vitamins and made me sit in a sauna for hours a day. It was pure hell. But my parents had already paid the $20,000, which was non-refundable and they figured I was being the drama queen that I can be. It just blows my mind that they give VITAMINS to detox you from benzos and alcohol, which can and DO cause seizures. Sorry for my rambling.

No, not currently. I'm on a methadone program at the moment. Haven't used since May.

I've been a lurker here off and on for years.. but finally built up the nerve to comment a few days ago finally. BTW: how do I make an account? So I can have an avi next to my name and don't have to enter my name & email every time I comment... thanks hon!!

Sorry to bother you again, Jess. But something just occurred to me and I just wanted to clarify. By "shoot the shit" I meant talk or converse or corespond, ya know? Its just a phrase. A really poorly chosen phrase that I just realized could be tragically misinterpreted.
