Today's Blind Items - Home Shopping Triangle
It took me q little bit of time to finally put this all together, and if you watch this particular home shopping channel, then you will probably find this very fascinating. If you don't, well, it sounds like something that would happen on any random movie set, but these things just don't usually happen in the world of home shopping.
There was a favorite on this channel. Every person who watched the network loved her. The thing is, she was hooking up with one of the top 3 people at the company. At some point he decided to trade her in for someone younger. Well, no one said he is a nice guy. The thing is though, he didn't tell her he was looking for someone new. It didn't take him long to find another host on the network. This host was just starting out and was supposed to get the horrible shifts. Those late night, overnight, no one wants shifts. Instead of having to do those shifts for a year or two though, she only had to do them for a couple of weeks. Why? She started having sex with the boss. The next thing you know, those overnight shifts were being filled by the long time popular host. It was at that point she realized the guy was sleeping with the new host. It took her all of two weeks before she decided to quit, but not before she played hardball with the network about what was going on. Apparently she had some very good dirt and could prove why she was being sent to overnights. She got a very large check and then quietly said goodbye to the network. Meanwhile, the boss was never fired and he is still hooking up with the newer host. Until someone else comes along.

Good f'n god. The only one of these people I know on QVC is Lisa Robertson and this isn't her. The only one I remember from HSN is a girl named Mindy McCortney and this isn't her either.

There are a zillion shopping channels - HSN, JTV, multiple "auction" channels.
I assume this is QVC, HSN or JTV, but my mother's not alive so I can't ask her.
I give it a shot, maybe Kathy Wolf, who left after 20 plus years, and Amy Bravo, the Hispanic model turned host on H SN. Amy is married also, so Kathy could have some dirt, or file a harrassment suit, they could just call it severance pay.

Well they did make a major motion picture out of Joy Mangiano, who became famous for a mop and later, huggable hangers, which she still sells on HSN, and sold tens of millions of.

IKR! This could be considered a kindness blind. Aging and increasingly ineffective shopping host is given gentle landing and put out to pasture with a bonus$, new hot host gets career boost, and producer gets laid. You're right- everybody wins.
You would think this guy WOULD get fired, if the company is going to have to keep writing big cheques just to cover his horny ass.
Albany Irving - QVC?
She just left QVC with zero warning or fanfare (Lisa Robertson had an on-air farewell party on her last show). Only announcement was a terse "leaving to spend more time with family" message on her QVC FB page.
I am going with Albany too! Even during a QVC tour the workers there kept saying how much they adored Albany.
It could be Patty Reilly on QVC.She left a few years ago. She started out well, but got totally annoying.Posters on the late TWOP were sure she was sleeping with someone on corporate.
I think it's Albany too. She left very quickly with no notice other than the short departure note that her social media reps left on her QVC host Facebook page for her --one that sounded very generic and very unlike Albany. Looking at the newest hosts to come to QVC, I think the "new girl" he left Albany for was either Courtney or Elise. Courtney is married, but she has soared to the top of the Q pile very quickly, getting a boost from being the former side-kick to popular Lisa Robertson. She barely did overnights before she was put on daytime shifts, occasional prime-times, stints out of state as reporter at conventions, and then got her own nighttime edition of Inspired Style. She has also recently been off air at QVC for a bit which is odd, but came back after Albany had left. With Elise, she is the only one of the 3 brand new hosts (Elise, Mary, Katie) that is single and has quickly gained in the company. She is also the least talented salesperson of the 3 (she seems nice, but still has lots of trouble on air, and is quite disengaged with product reps and in selling items she has no interest in while the other 2 are soaring/are already fan favorites) yet I noticed she quickly got better shifts over the other 2 newbies, which seemed odd. Recently, she got a HUGE promotion in running QVC's new BeautyIQ channel with co-host Alberti, and a was featured in QVC's magazine as QVC's resident exercise ambassador. On Lisa Robertson's page, she often posts photos of herself with her close friends, two of them being Albany (who is popping up more and more on her page lately) and Alberti. However, you never see her with Courtney. She wouldn't have known Elise, but if it is infact Elise... that might make it awkward for Alberti.
@Genn, sounds better than my guess,not familiar with the QVC newbies, but when someone new shows up in a coveted spot, something must be up. I think home shoppers tend to be very loyal to their channel.
