Regis & Kelly Don't Talk To Each Other
Regis Philbin says he hasn't kept in touch with his former co-host Kelly Ripa since he decided to leave the show "Live" in 2011.
Philbin said on "Larry King Now" in an interview posted online Wednesday, that Ripa took it personally and was offended when he decided to leave their show "Live! with Regis and Kelly." He says she thought he was leaving because of her.
But the 85-year-old told King he left the show because he was getting older and it "wasn't right for me anymore."
"She got very offended when I left. She thought I was leaving because of her," Philbin said. "I was leaving because I was getting older and that wasn’t right for me anymore."
Philbin said he still misses hosting and added that the show has "never once" asked him to return as a guest co-host.
Asked if he would come back to television, he said it would depend on how often he would appear.

I always got a "Taylor Swift vibe" from Ripa...you know, acts all sweet, but in reality is a mean, calculating person. I mostly stopped watching after Regis, she's a little too much for me that early in the morning.
Didn't Regis pluck her from a going nowhere daytime soap opera role to be his co-host after Kathie Lee left? Went to her head.
She is exactly as Lisa sees her. She fancies herself part of the 'NYC In Crowd' but is a joke. Summers in The Hamptons, goes to all the private parties. Her husband came off as super swishy in NINE LIVES. She is in for a major fall one day in the not too distant future. No one will shed a tear. Matt Lauer is another one. Can't get rid of him soon enough. The people in NYC hate him!
I'm not surprised if Kelly is like that, but how does Matt Laur keep his job? Must have dirt on someone.
Kelly is a heifer
Kelly wouldn't have work if it wasn't for Reege. I always thought she stabbed Kathie Lee in the back and got her off the show.

Everyone hates Matt lauer. I'm not sure why they keep him around and pay him so much money.
I think the network producers and their lack of communication with their hosts causes the Ill feelings with past and present hosts. They learn of changes on a "need to know bases" they are not treated as members of the team they are treated as outsiders.
Regis is the one nice person w/o any snobbery, stupidity, w/ a polite sense of humor (cruel & rude jokes r more easy to make)...
Which is remarkable for a white man. IDK much about Regis but most white men rarely go through the kind of persecution/hardships that makes you into a nice person. I think people like Ellen are nice because they know what it's like to be subject to cruelty. This Regis dude gives me Mister Rogers vibes.

There are actually rumors that Ellen is actually incredibly nasty in real life.
Kelly is really abitch!! Mark is even scared of her but she makes the money so he takes all her BS
Kathy lee quit for a bigger career and when that didn't happen ended up on NBC she has Fridays off and more salary than Regis

Kelly on the other hand is a phoney
First, both Regis and Kathie Lee were on the Halloween show two years ago.
That was the first time KLG had been back on the show, so it's unlikely it was personal. Gelman probably just didn't want to invite comparisons between old hosts and new.
Finally, does Regis not own a phone? If he had any interest in getting together with Kelly, couldn't he have called her?
