This band is A+ list if you are into thrash metal. Now defunct, they had a guitarist with one of the best nicknames ever. Anyway, he had a hole in the palm of his hand. Why? He would hammer a f**king nail into every night before each show to get pumped up. Yeah

This is one of those silly urban legends. He did it once as a gag - held a nail between his fingers, and pretended to hammer it into his hand. The clueless millennial intern they have posing as Enty probably had to Google 'Pantera' and 'Dimebag' before posting the blind.
