Blind Item #2

Not really all that juicy, but very funny and a waitress who obviously reads blogs. This foreign born former A list singer. Yes, as much as we would like to pretend she was not A list, she was. Anyway, when the singer showed up at dinner the other night, the waitress asked her for identification when the singer ordered a drink. Not that she did not look old enough, but the waitress wanted to see the name on the identification. It was the singer and not an impostor.

It's not juice, but it is an intrusive move unless she thought the person was a minor. She is basically saying if a famous person is your namesake, you must present ID to get service and get drilled by the waiter before that. In fact you are being accused of stealing a credit card. That would piss me off and I'm getting on the manager who better agree with me or I'm suing. If she and all the waiters were asking ID from everyone else, then that's a different story.

what is DM? thanks

hothotheat said...

Nope. if you're serving alcohol to anyone you have the right to ask for ID regardless.

Weak. Sounds like the name triggered a proof of ID request, not because of alcohol necessarily. If she was carding everyone ordering liquor, then fine. If she did that because the customer's name triggered that request, it's FO to me. I would have called the manager if I wanted to keep my damn privacy. You get my credit card and if the name on it is some celebrity, you better not be playing cop to ask for ID UNLESS you are getting driver's licenses from all customers.

duh, thank you!! she does look different to me

Sounds to me like the waitress asked for the ID at the time the drink was ordered, not along with the credit card, so it was more "is this really this famous person at my table?" And no DA is going to prosecute "A waitress asked to see your ID when you ordered a drink" as an invasion of privacy case.

I thought this blind had to do with the story going around that Avril had an imposter take her place, and was checking g to see if someone was claiming to be her that was'nt. Also, agree,I see many times people way over legal age being asked for ID, for drinks or cigarettes. A lot of teens look older than Avril these days,

Hey dumbass. You ever work for a living? I've had NUMEROUS jobs where you have to ask only if they look young. If you want your "damn privacy" stay home in your double wide trailer.

Moron.

What's wrong with a double wide you elitist. Where is the dishonor in that. And yeah, I work and make more than I need. Asshole.
