For several years this singer/songwriter was A list. Nice run. Still has A list name recognition. He has been quiet about his dating life in recent years. Always known as a guy who will have sex with men or women he is currently hooking up with this foreign born A list closeted male singer.

Totally this. They performed together back in April and there are current articles with Shawn implying Mayer is his new BFF basically, "someone he can call and relies on".
I am not sure that touring for Dead and Company instead of putting out his own stuff warrants Mayer to be knocked down from A list. I have never been a Grateful Dead fan but I think this keeps him up on A list.
I love Shawn, please John don't corrupt him with your a**hole ways.
