Golden Globes
With the exception of a handful of people, this talk show host was ignored by the celebrities there who only like him enough to go on his show, but not hang out with him away from it. Plus, he was being monitored for his drinking by not only his wife, but also her long long time bff.

He probably wasn't the life of the party being so restricted. He should be restricted, but he probably isn't a fun guy under those conditions.

It's so annoying when your wife and her friends try to keep you from cheating.....
Or they were staying away from Drew Barrymore who is obviously 3 lbs of crazy in a 2 lb (capacity) bag.
By the time of the Globes, the impact of Jimmy's gaff with then candidate, now POTUS, Trump were beginning to be felt. No one is going to jump on that ship with him as it goes down.

P.S. he has "a real alcoholic" face; wife & her bffs will fail to keep "a real alcoholic" from booze...
I think you got it with the answer you gave to John up above. He's shunned for making Trump look human that night. He got bashed then and I think he's regretting it after last week.
