Anyone who believes the old 'open marriage' line without having met with and had it confirmed by, the actual wife, is a moron of epic proportions. That's before we even get to why anyone wants to be the spunkbucket part of an 'open' marriage equation in the first place. I mean, have some fucking dignity.

No idea why his wife puts up with it either. Divorce, divide the spoils, move the hell on and retain some semblance of dignity instead of letting that ageing Scottish ham humiliate you in public on a regular basis. I don't get the sad doormat routine at all.
In fairness he has acted like a pig forever, and his wife just accepted it. I am convinced Mary Elizabeth insisted they go public, he would've been happy to continue his usual lifestyle.
Sigh. Here I was hoping it was Sarah Jessica Parker.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead only split from her husband back in May...me smells an affair on both sides.
Wendy, EM said he split w/his wife in May too, but there she was, glowing about her hubby in June...I haven’t ever truly liked him. I remember that when Tom and Nicole broke up, he was supposedly the reason...and there were rumors even back then that he was sterile and he left Nicole, because she got pregnant - though she lost the baby - due to the split...
I have read this celebrity garbage far too long...
When watching Ewan's 'Long Way Down' / 'Long Way Round' docs, I thought his wife was a sniveling, whiny, controlling, unattractive annoying twit. I had no clue of his background and behavior and was thinking 'how the holy hell can this guy stand to be with this chick?'
Well, in light of this I guess it goes both ways. Maybe they deserve & enable each other.
