Yeezy?
P Diddy?
Rob Kardashian?
And, his upcoming surrogate baby. He's got two young babies already, seems to be struggling. What's one more? Kids keep the money flowing. Yeezy finessed the Kardashians and I don't feel sorry for them.
lol Rob isn't even a wannabe mogul.
Snapchat guy who married Miranda Kerr
Kanye isn't a media mogul. I'd go with the snapchat guy. Miranda met her match.
Evan Spiegel is worth $3 Billion.
I don't think miranda's money is a drop in the bucket compared to 3billi.
Yeah, and he doesn't have 'issues' that I'm aware of.
Kanye = wannbe mogul + issues + cash poor.. think it's him.
What about Ben Domenech? Or Alex Ohanian?
@khaleesi Serena's husband is actually a good guess. They were barely dating for a yr before getting engaged. And i doubt Reddit is as super influential and popular as it once was.
This sounds like someone who just got married. What does Serena's husband do?
co-founder and executive chairman of Reddit.
Totally forgot about Serena's husband!
MY first thoughts went to Evan Spiegel and Miranda, too. Yes, he had (notice past tense) $2.5 billion, but I suspect that much (if not most) of that money is gone. Snapchat stocks crashed and burned over the past year. The company lost more than 60% of its value. In actual dollars and cents, this is a vast amount of money. During just the last 2 weeks, Spiegel lost another half a billion.

Given how much money he had already lost earlier in the year I'd guess that he's bleeding badly right now. He still has some assets but quite cash poor. He fits the blind as a wannabe media mogul.
Here's the kicker: He gave noble reasons for speeding up a major life event, but it all comes down to having more access to cash.
I posit that the noble thing he claimed is not having sex (and children) before marriage, and so he sped up the wedding to Miranda under that pretext. The major life event was getting married. Truth is that he has been losing a LOT of money since last year and he needed a hook so he had to act fast.
I was thrown off by the part of the blind that speaks of other family members, but then I realized that "other family members now related to him" doesn't necessarily have to mean extended relatives but it could be a reference to his new bride herself. Ok, so she doesn't have billions of dollars, but she has millions and a successful cosmetics company, and her name and reputation and celebrity status can easily provide access to new lines of credit for him and his business.
I believe that this is them, but there are some other people who I am thinking about that this situation might also fit. I will be back later with more.
Alex Ohanian and Serena already have a daughter, so regarding their marriage as "speeding up a major life event" is a stretch imo.
Absolutely correct. Serena and Alex are one of the other couples that I am looking into.
John Doe, go down to the very bottom of that article, last 2 sentences:
"Evan Spiegel and Snap cofounder Bobby Murphy were each worth approximately $5 billion.
Today, however, their Snap shares are worth closer to $2.6 billion."
What about Meghan McCain and Ben Domenech?
@Austin,
That dude doesn't have 2 billion. He has some wealth tied up in assets but he doesn't have any cash. Snapchat has been losing ground to Instagram. He tried to revamp the platform to bring it back but the company has steadily continued to lose money. Banks who lend money to businesses pay close attention to these things. People who lost a lot of money on Snapchat stocks aren't pleased either.

His money supply is drying up. He needed an out.
Ginger, those two are on my list as well. Domenech is a scumbag loser who has lied and plagiarized his way to fame. His media ventures have not been very successful so he could qualify as a wannabe. Cindy McCain's family is old money so this would also make sense. The sped up life event could be marriage, but there is just one clue that doesn't seem to fit...what was the noble reason that he gave for doing it?
Kanye *is* a wannabe mogul because he announced his intent to start a streaming service to rival Tidal. Probably him.
I'm thinking Alex as well. Apparently he started dating Serena without telling his long term girlfriend about it. Plus, I vaguely remember Reddit having some major issues with users a few years ago that caused them to lose money.
All of these fresh-minted billionaires are in for a wake-up call next year. I remember one of these young tech money millionaires from my San Francisco days. He was cooler than Josh Altman with his Ferrari and bespoke clothes/shoes. Nice guy, originally from Bklyn. All the staff at my coffee bar loved his super positive vibes when he walked through the door. Fast forward a couple of years. Jobless, car-less, home-less, eating at the famous Metropolitan Church food pantry twice a day. We would give him free breakfast and try to buck up his spirits. Don't know what happened to him. All these famous women marrying for tech money. What happens when that bubble bursts--again?
@john doe the noble reason for Meghan McCain could be due to the fact that John McCain's type of cancer is usually about a year or so to live. So he would be able to give Meghan away before he passes. Thereby access to Cindy's family fortune.
For Serena I would think because she is pregnant and wanted to have the baby in wedlock so it wouldn't be considered a bastard. Maybe that is still important to some people. But I would hope Serena's family would lock her money up tight against him.
oh sorry I didn't realize Serena had the baby before marriage.
John Doe they said they got engaged at the hospital to celebrate life. Easy to spin pushing up the ceremony while John is well enough to walk her down the aisle.
@Boo lots of divorced men. No money no honey.
He should have sold out to google/apple when he had the chance.
MEGHAN MCCAIN just married Ben Domenech who does radio, CBS, misc. self promotion. He said 'we got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout. ' he prob said he moved up the wedding because of John McCain's health.
@FancyFel, Until you dropped that intel, I was leaning toward Evan Spiegel because Snapchat’s valuation is greatly overvalued considering their lack of revenue stream. Also, been hearing Uber-like stories coming out of there, rampant sexual harassment, incompetence of senior management, high turn over...
