Blind Item #9 - Himmmm

Yesterday and last night a studio (___________) was in crisis mode with executives flying in and lawyers summoned. All because this perverted jerk director (____________) and his company (_________) are such a major part of the studio's project slate that the studio itself may be in jeopardy - especially being taken over by a publicly traded company that requires Congress' approval.

Last night during the investigation into the damage done by the director, and how damaged the studio can be, they discovered some bizarre business interests. Seems the director is a major investor-partner in several adult porn websites. The studio and even the director's managers didn't know it.  One of the porn sites in particular is so disgusting, perverted, and possibly illegal in the USA that the studio is scrambling to cut all ties and remove the director from everything, before the media uncovers this.

The site, hosted offshore and hidden beneath layers of front companies, is so awful that the analysts refused to explore it - and only finally did so after a lawyer and ex-FBI man at the studio both agreed to monitor the investigation. If the director and his pals see that website as their normal views of sex? Then those abuse allegations are just the beginning of his slide into the gutter. Even a national official (_______________) is scared. He sent a representative of his to meet studio brass all because of his own former association with the director which still reaps financial income for the official. They're trying to quietly cover up all ties to Russian investors and Arab investors before people start looking deeply at those relationships. Talk was swirling about the official (_______) and the director on a Russian billionaires yacht, with Arabs and lots of young women. Why? There is a video and photos. Not good for the studio and definitely not good for a Trump appointee at the moment.

Meanwhile the studio is in damage-control mode, and one executive (______________) is rumored to be on the chopping block due to his defense of and friendship with the director. The studio is looking to scapegoat, cut ties, and dress up as a wholesome family company before its new owner (_________) has to go before Congress to get approval for lots of new plans. Many Congresswomen in particular are just waiting to get some re-election coverage by grilling them and forcing them to pledge to change the culture of Hollywood. If anyone thinks attorney Marty Singer can handle all this? They are clueless.

  4. I wish this shit would come out BEFORE they go into cover-up mode. I hate that some panzies get scapegoated and the REAL criminals go unscathed. For once, would love to see their worlds crumble around them. Unfortunately though, in today's world, money talks louder than anything else.

  6. I wonder how loosely the term 'national official' is being used here? Is it current, former, government official or just someone know to the nation?? Mnunchin is not a current govt official. I guess it could be the someone working for the white house, in congress, or one of the parties (DNC,RNC).

  7. Yep, much of this is all over the Daily Malice - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5039213/The-Latest-Ratner-accused-sexual-harassment-6-women.html

    Ratner/Warner Bros/Mnuchin

The only thing that surprises me on the article is the lack of comments claiming 'innocent until proven' and 'feminazi false accusations' and the like. Very unlike the DM.

  9. @texasrose: Mnuchin is indeed a current government official. He's in the Cabinet as Treasury Secretary.

  10. Yes it's no doubt Ratner and the Trump appointee is Steve Mnuchin whose entertainment company Dune has a co-financing partnership with Ratner's company.

The studio is Warner Bros, which just cut all ties with Ratner.
    The director is Ratner
    His company is RatPac
    The national official is Mnuchin

The "new" owner referred to in the last paragraph is AT&T which is merging with Warner Bros....and must get government approval first.

  12. yes, cabinet secretaries are chosen by the president so they're 'appointees.' they're confirmed by congress but the prez has to choose them.

if this is Mnuchin, it just couldn't happen to a more deserving asshole.

  13. @immodestlyblaise- You're right. I was confusing Mnunchin with Manafort. Thx

  14. My "guesses": Someone shoulda Warn-a-Brotha (studio) about Ratface Ratfuck Ratfink (director) prior to them
engaging with RatPac-Dune Entertainment (prod. company) in their 4yr/75 pic/$450 MM deal. Mnuchin (official) must be sweating bullets as well as AT&T (trying to buy TWC/WB).

Awwww, and the rodent JUUUUUST got presented with the Jewish National Fund's highest humanitarian award at a gala this past Sunday by Patty Jenkins who directed Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot was originally supposed to present him with the award)...whoopsiezzz.

Not sure about the WB exec whose head is on the chopping block as there are a few potential candidates quite frankly, and I most certainly don't know and don't want to know about the website(s) in question.

  18. Oh the awards w. Patty etc .. look, Ratner's behavior isn't news to them yet there they were, playing to game with the scumbag until the very moment the news hit. The great and the brave of Hollywood who cleave to the plague rat with smiles and awards until the moment his ship starts to sink. Honestly, they make me sick. Empty people who are endlessly on some high horse about this or that cause, perfectly content to live with the utter darkness in their own backyards for career purposes.

  19. I saw headline few hours ago - "Warner Bros cut ties with Brett Ratner"
    His company - RatPac-Dune Entertainment.
Steve Mnuchin is official who's scared?
One executive who's Ratner's friend is James Packer?
I'm not sure who's new owner though.

Boy, oh boy, what kind of porn is that, that analysts refused to explore it? What can be in there???

  20. @texasrose, the appointee is Sam Clovis, who just today withdrew his nomination to head Dept of Ag. He was already referenced (but not named) in the indictment as having close ties to shady Russians & is BFF's with George Papadopoulos.

  23. I wonder about the porn site too. What apart from children, bestiality or some sort of torture/snuff shit could be there that they are scared of?

  26. Think the executive is Toby Emmerich

  27. this is unbelievable, but I cannot stand people being exploited. It's horrific to me. I won't weight in on consensual porn and employment because it's supposed to be consenting adults, and I'm supposed to mind my own business on that. But this is HORRIFIC!

    ReplyDelete
  28. This may blow your sweet and naive mind PotPourri, but the type of porn people are unwilling to even want to look at is VERY UNLIKELY to be consensual. Forced bestiality or severe torture porn or worse, whatever that may be.

  29. FBI's analysts are people who really seen it all, so yeah imagine how scary this shit is, if they don't want to see it. Last time when I saw experienced agent refusing to watch a video, it was a video made by Peter Scully.

  31. @alexandria .... ah. You're suggesting it may be 'red room' shit or what's the other disgusting phrase the degenerates use for child sex torture porn? Hurtcore?

  32. @Rinky When I read the phrase "the site that is so awful that the analysts refused to explore it"...yes, it sounds like it's this bad to me.
But then again, I'm from generation that seen and read it all on the internet before age of 13, so maybe federals don't have as much nerve.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The executive is definitely Toby Emmerich. Check this story: http://variety.com/2017/film/spotlight/brett-ratner-walk-of-fame-james-packer-ratpac-warner-bros-kevin-tsujihara-1201963846/

Note the part that says: 'Being at WB also means that Ratner will continue his close working relationship with longtime friend and collaborator Toby Emmerich, who was recently named president and chief content officer of Warner Bros. Pictures Group.

'“Now that Toby is running Warners, it makes me so proud, because I can remember coming up with him when he was an exec at New Line when we did ‘Money Talks’ and the ‘Rush Hour’ movies,” Ratner says. “He’s been a huge part of my career.”

'The sentiment is mutual. “What can I say to describe Brett Ratner?,” Emmerich says. “Aside from being an incredibly gifted and knowledgeable cinephile with a deep passion for filmmaking, he’s one of the most loyal, generous and talented individuals I have ever met. I’ve been proud to call him my friend for the last 30 years.”'

  35. @monteverde – I think cesspits will form anywhere where people (generally men) have wealth, power, influence and a complete lack of accountability. Name an industry (film, music, fashion, politics, academia etc.) where people operate with impunity and you will see the same cesspits being formed.

  36. I'm wondering if this is Bryan Singer now if things are being scrubbed off the internet regarding recent allegations.

Unwatchable porn could be either child pornography (particularly young children), or snuff.

  37. Very good 'opportunity'/'justification' for new ownership to clean house. Quite the hit piece on Kevin Tsujihara in the HR latest; choice snippets below:

    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/brett-ratner-harassment-claims-turn-spotlight-friendship-warner-bros-ceo-kevin-tsujihara-1054906

Questions about Kevin Tsujihara’s relationship with Ratner have come into focus in the wake of reports about the filmmaker’s alleged sexual misconduct.

In the weeks before AT&T made its $85 billion offer for Time Warner in October 2016, chairman and CEO Jeff Bewkes got a call from a senior Hollywood executive who said he had heard worrisome industry chatter about the social activities of Warner Bros. chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara, including his close relationship with the filmmaker and producer Brett Ratner.

Questions about the Warner Bros. studio and Tsujihara’s relationship with Ratner have come into focus in the wake of reports about the filmmaker’s alleged sexual misconduct. The Warners chairman has been known to travel and socialize with Ratner and his former partner James Packer, whose RatPac Entertainment co-financed the Warners film slate.

Ratner is known for forming bonds with important Hollywood players with outings to Las Vegas and by inviting them on Packer’s enormous yacht. One mogul he befriended was Tsujihara. According to sources, Tsujihara became a close associate of Ratner’s, attending industry events with him and socializing and traveling with him. Tsujihara was at times seen drinking heavily in work settings such as premieres and events where alcohol was served, though sources say Tsujihara’s behavior improved recently.

At the same time, several red flags were raised about Ratner in the media, and his reputation for aggressive pursuit of women was well-known on the Warners lot.

A source with knowledge of RatPac’s work environment says Ratner filled his office with beautiful young women. “It’s unclear what some of them do,” this person says. “One of them would go wherever he was and she would just wait for him outside of meetings. It seemed that role was different from an assistant role.”

Packer, who is said to have lost millions in RatPac, left the deal in early 2017 but was replaced by another jet-setting foreign billionaire, Len Blavatnik. With Tsujihara’s blessing, Blavatnik’s Access Entertainment, which also owns Warner Music Group, bought out Packer’s share and kept Ratner as CEO.

  41. Len Blavatnik is head of Access Industries, which also owns Warner Music Group (Warner Bros., Atlantic, Parlophone, Rhino and many other record labels). He is also a major donor to Republican Party campaigns, writing millions of dollars to PACs controlled by Sen. Mitch McConnell, Rep. Paul Ryan and other GOP polls, and is a former partner to Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska; both Blavatnik and Deripaska have been linked to Russian president Vladimir Putin.

  42. Forensic analysts will usually refuse to work on anything that turns out to be child porn. My guess here, because of the "gray area" nature, is that this is the CGI child porn thing. It's not legally clear how illegal it is, because there are no actual children in it -- just CGI children.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Phelps It makes sense, I had no idea such thing exists.

    ReplyDelete
  44. If people outside of pedos and computer forensic experts knew about it, it wouldn't.

    ReplyDelete
  45. If they weren't sure whether they should watch it, then it couldn't have been something clearly illegal like snuff or obvious children. I would guess either something in a gray area or something that's technically legal but just really gross.

    Things it might have been:
    CGI children
Young-looking teens who *might* be 18
Rape/torture/etc that may or may not be simulated
Something gross like scat or bestiality
