Blind Item #9

This foreign born one named B+ list singer had a nervous breakdown after leaving a recent concert. She is a mess. She needs professional help but her label won't let her.

Lorde?

Sia?

Ooh- that’s a better guess... she has been documented talking about her issues in the past I think? Sad

She doesn't like being famous now and when she wasn't she was a drug addict\alcoholic.

Why wouldn't a label let their artist get professional help?

Psyche meds would add 40lbs to her and no one would pay attention anymore?

Count-How right you are. My best friend has been on psych meds for 40 years and looks like she's 9 months preggers with triplets. No amount of dieting and exercise helps because she can't go off the meds. She has numerous ailments. Maybe one day they'll come up with psychotropic meds that don't pack on the pounds. How dreadful they won't help this singer! A crime, really.

But she hid herself for a while (sorta)...just keep cranking out the tunes, don't show yourself on stage, and have what's her name just do all the dancing in the videos. How many people see Sia live anyways?

i don't know the answer but if i have to choose between these 2 i'll go with lorde. sia's a grown woman with family and a million creative irons in the fire. she's past her drugs and drink days...has tour dates booked from late november through decemeber and into next year.

lorde just finished tour dates and isn't scheduled to start up again until march.

Some psych meds increase appetite, they don't add weight out of nowhere. No medication breaks the laws of thermodynamics and produces excess lard out of thin air. Fat gain is from overeating, so you can be on them and not gain weight if you watch your intake and take enough exercise. Fact is, most people don't at the best of times, never mind the worst, or simply don't realise when they're overeating.

Anyway. Whoever it is can walk into a clinic any time. Labels aren't slave owners and anyone in their employ has the same rights as any other employee. No employer can stop me seeking medical treatment and neither can they. Celebs need to stop acting the drama queen. If the little people can stand up to idiot employers (been there, done that), they certainly can, given their financial resources.

Unfortunately true.

Lol, I'm out of touch, I had to google "lorde"

@zerooptions- I don't think you're out of touch. You probably just blinked.

zerooptions and dahling: you made me laugh. if i hadn't been driving my daughter back and forth to college during the year that "royals" played incessantly on the radio, i wouldn't know who lorde is either.

There are a lot of antipsychotics that cause weight gain and it's not from overeating. I won't pretend to understand the mechanisms behind the medication and how it interacts with metabolism or hormones or whatever it does. I gained about 30 lbs from being on antipsychotics in college in about 3 months time. I actually ate less than ever as I was also prescribed Adderall about a month later. I was on a college campus walking several miles every day between the upper and lower parts of campus.

i hope its not Lorde. actually i hope its not any of them and somebody just made this up to be a drama victim

If Lorde the description would have been one hit wonder.

Lorde's not a one-hit wonder, though. Royals was a standout hit but she had another song hit #6, and another single that hit #19 and a few others in the lower reaches of the Top 40.

And it's totally her.

One-named foreign born singer is either Sia or Lorde. Sia only did two concerts this year and the last one was June. She's incredibly reclusive minus that whole Coachella/tour run in 2016 but has been very quiet this year.

Lorde, however, has had shows all through November.

Bjork

So true Boo. Whoever invents a psych meds that does not cause weight gain will be one rich person. So sad, especially if it's Zyprexa which is a wonder drug

Sd Auntie said...

Right Jeannie. I have seen it myself and it's heart breaking. Dispersal is the worst.

Risperedal.

I hope it's not Lorde. The album she released this year was in my opinion the best album of the year and one of the best albums in a long time. This coming from someone who mainly listens to country music lol. Brilliant pop album.

Lorde is definitely more than a one-hit wonder in the UK. Hope she's OK :(

They effect the endocrine system and cause insulin resistance which causes weight gain. Nothing to do with appetite. Jesus people are so judgmental.

I've seen Sia live. I won't do it again, but I'm glad I saw her once. I feel like this is Lorde. Poor girl, go to the doc yourself, better than being miserable and wanting to die.

@Sd Auntie, Risperedal is an anti-psychotic, and I doubt anyone would be able to perform consistently on it. They get "zombied out".

Neither Sia nor Bjork are B+. Sia has written enough hits for others to be A, Bjork is a legend.
